New Sly Cooper game by Sneaky Devil Studios (Evidence for possible development)

Here's some notable evidence that hint at Sly Cooper's comeback:

Sanzru games made Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time, and had plans for additional content, and expressed interest in working on the series again.

The first project they mention is Sly Cooper: (their youtube description)
"After decades of shared experience crafting legendary titles like Sly Cooper, Sonic the Hedgehog, Spyro, and Asgard's Wrath 2, our team has returned to focus on bringing the next generation of world‑class AAA experiences to players everywhere."

Pixel Rant:
"New insider reports suggest Sony may be revisiting several of its most beloved legacy franchises. Names frequently mentioned in recent discussions include Sly Cooper, Resistance, Ape Escape, MotorStorm, Legend of Dragoon, and inFAMOUS."

Sneaky Devil Studios is a reference to the ending of Sly 3 where Bentley says, "That sneaky devil."

I hope Motorstorm is also happening, I'll be there day one. Maybe Sony can rattle all of them off tomorrow. That would be epic.

Sly 5 would be a fantastic announcement for me, so given current Sony / Playstation trajectory I'm going to assume it's not happening. Or we'll hear nothing about it and then three years from now someone will bump this thread with some leaked info that they were working on it, never got it off the ground, and the company is laying off all staff.

The sly rumor may be true but the rest seems too good to be true.

Infamous has also gained traction.

Sly revival before a new Ratchet sequel, what a weird timeline man...

Release all the Remasters already so I can ditch my old tired PS3s already Sony, goddamn, why make it everything so difficult

Aren't we a bit greedy here? Sly Cooper had 4 games while R&C got 10 (?) mainline games and spinoffs.

Anyway, I like the Sly series, it haven't aged terribly well but the game play is still unique.

I know 10 games seems like a lot, but the franchise is aproaching its 25th anniversary, you'd think Insomniac will do something for that, but guess they're too deep into capeshit now to even care

Thought Jak & Daxter'd come back before Sly, but if this rumor is even true, it'd be a refreshing welcome. Probably cross-gen between PS5 & PS6 likely.

Tho personally, I'd be a lot more excited for Tomba! or Parappa coming back. Or Ape Escape for that matter. I just have more nostalgia for those (especially Tomba and Parappa).

I honestly still don't see where Infamous makes sense to bring back this time & age. Maybe SIE are thinking about ditching the Marvel license in the future and want a non-licensed superhero IP they can leverage to fill in just in with just the case?

Otherwise it feels redundant to push out a new Infamous (revival, sequel w/e) when you've got Insomniac working with Spiderman, Wolverine and other Marvel characters. The Marvel stuff's just gonna eat Infamous for lunch and demographic crossover would be too strong for Infamous to survive that. Unless again, like suggested a moment ago, SIE are moving away from the Marvel license or only plan to utilize it for Spiderman & Marvel Tokon-like projects going forward.

If so, whether that affects X-Men, Venom etc. would be up in the air.
