Are not there a whole lot of inside jokes in the Russel Crowe episode?

My favorite is definitively the Jared got Aids episode.

After Kyle got told by the coach that Jews can't play basketball, where he had his head up against the wall and wasn't saying anything....

Yeah, there were even shadow effects on Kyle. Maybe it hasn't changed since the 8th season and I'm just used to watching the earlier seasons on DVD, but it sure looked different to me, and it might have been too detailed and animated given the style the series has always used. Oh well.
