The game still looks underwhelming graphically.
Things to add to make it a standout:
- Fix the damn textures on Venom. He looks like his textures are still loading in.
- Make Venom's suit moving at all times, like a living breathing organism. Like Vecna in Stranger Things 4. Notice his neck moving:
- Brighter specular highlights at night.
- More details in the characters models and clothing.
- More detailed foliage in the jungle scenes.
- Way more particle/slimey/gooey effects during gameplay while playing as Parker in the Venom suit thing.
You do know that CG in blockbuster films is completely unaffected by the constraints of running on local hardware in real-time like a video game, right?
More visual touch-ups will come but to say the game looks underwhelming visually is big-time cope. I'd say after HFW: Burning Shores this is shaping to be the best-looking game on the market once it releases. And more importantly than that, it just looks very fun and action-packed. Plus the story seems like it's on a solid track too.
Some of the nitpicking in gaming these days is getting rather annoying, especially for games that haven't even come out yet.
Go back and watch Miles Morales trailer. What's improved here? The hair maybe? If they are roughly the same visuals then he is correct and your post makes you look like you're lying to yourself.
Do you agree that Spiderman 2 on PS5 should be superior to cross gen MM? If so im not sure what you find so funny? I'm open to being proven wrong if someone can point out the obvious improvements over MM ...
We can't help it if you've gone blind...
