Most of the normal mapping is off and textures take a hit on the PS2, but I expected it to look even worse.

It looks great regardless, it just that the XBOX is more capable of better graphics dude. Just look at the earlier XBOX shots and compare. If you think this is ugly then you probably think 97% of the other games out there are ugly too.

It might look "decent" for a PS2 game that's ported from a natively designed Xbox title, sure. For a game designed for the PS2, these shots would be considered ass. The PS2 can do MUCH better than this.

Eh, maybe a bit better...for the PS2, though, it's not bad at all. Pretty good IQ, decent textures (well, the floor could use some revising I suppose), minimal jaggies...I don't see how they could improve it much more (again, on the PS2).

Because by now, no one is paying for them anymore. So they release them for free, in hopes of pulling a few old players (like me), back into the game.

I just watched the Splinter Cell videos on the OXM disc and it looks pretty cool. Camo suit in multiplayer should be fun!
