Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is probably top 10 games ever made right?

Splinter Cell House Theory may be a great game, but there are so many incredibly good games out there that there are probably 50 games that are even better than Splinter Cell House Theory. It's definitely not in the top 10.

For stealth fans, yes definitely.

I always flip flop between which Splinter Cell (of the real 4) is my favorite but Chaos Theory always just edges out on top.

It's a great game, i loved all Splinter Cell games up to Double Agent.

Unfortunatly the Ubisoft curse destroyed the series.

I'm still hoping for remakes of these games.

I hope MGS Delta sells well so Ubisoft will see the worth in remaking these.

Top 10 in Stealth, yes. Top 10 overall, no as there are so so many other games that I always come back to, don't get me wrong, Chaos Theory is very good, I really love it, especially the animation is precise and incredible cool to use. Level design is excellent as well and there's a good deal of replayability/speedrunning to try.

So yes, top 10 in Stealth.

A must play? absolutely! A top 10? Now it's subjective.

Because it would almost mean Metal Gear Solid would also be in that top 10, but higher.

MGS had interconnected level system, Splinter Cell is level based. Not that it's a bad thing but definitely has less replayability ?

Chaos Theory was cinematic as hell though, there was nothing quite like it back in the day. The OG Xbox was a powerhouse. You could play this then change for Ninja Gaiden or Half Life 2. What a generation 👌

You can get Pandora Tomorrow on the XBox store. I got it a while back.
Not anymore. Ms and ubi delisted it. I got my first Xbox (series x) as a gift for Xmas 2023. Both splinter cell games and a slew of other games were removed for sale on the store back in 2023..right around the time they said they were done with procuring any new backwards compatible games. Hmmm.

Why what license was needed for splinter cell, there was no licensed music. The whole delisting makes zero sense.

Luckily they are cheap and plentiful at 2nd hand, antique and retro stores. I got splinter cell 1 and Pandora, battlefield bad company 1 and 2 (both delisted) and ninja gaiden 2 (not delisted but was $30 digital) at one store for $30 for all 5 disc's.
That disc drive is cruital for playing older games as Microsoft can't be trusted.

Depends who you ask. Some will claim The Last of Us is top 10. Some will claim Halo 2 is top 10. Hell, some idiots will claim God of War is top 10. I'd argue, they're all shite. Chaos Theory shits on all of them.

The PC version for sure. The scroll wheel being what controlled movement/animation speed was genius and sadly never followed up. It actually made it feel like a unique and novel gameplay system.

Whoah. I better check and make sure I still got them.

Alright, so I beat the first level (The Lighthouse) for the first time last night. It was impressive for being from 2005, but...

Maybe this is one of those games that blossoms over time, but so far I haven't run into anything that MGS V doesn't do with more polish, style, depth, freedom of choice, and fun.

Tell me how I'm wrong in the replies!

I loved the game, but it's not a top 10 game of all time. Current day Ubisoft would probably changed the nightvision to a purplevision if we ever get a new one.

I'm sure on somebody's list it is top 10.

Great stealth action game that's for sure. Can't really go wrong with any Splinter Cell entry.

Someone is selling new copies of Pandora Tomorrow on eBay for $23 with shipping. I snagged one.

I guess that game had a huge print run to still have new copies.

All those old Splinter Cell games are awesome. Even the first one is amazing. Ubisoft used to be such an incredible developer before they just started making the same open world game over and over again.

Better question: Is it better than any other Stealth action game ever? Better than any Assassins Creed, Metal Gear, Hitman, Death Stranding, or any other Splinter Cell?
