Are those real? O_o

Regarding Georg (spoiler?):
It's been a while, but I don't remember him wearing an eyepath in Suikoden 2. Am I mistaken?

Why would a 12 year old care about big boobs? A kid younger than 12, even more so?

And no he didn't have the eyepatch in Suikoden II.

I was caring about boobs at 12 years old already...

Not looking too good.. I will need to see the battle system.. I liked the art better in 3 but the battle system was boring as well as the "world"

I'm a huge Suiko fan, 3 and 4 were a downhill slope to me, but the vid of 5 makes me real pumped up for the game. Seriously, check the vid, its pimp.

Yup cause that never happens in Japanese RPGs....

that was my first thought then I saw this..

Well for one thing, he looks like a male. He's dressed like a female in some form or another beceause the title is in a Queendom. He wishes he was a female because there's apparently pressure on males there or he's pressured by his mother.

Great... cross dressing Suikoden.. They went from the power walking hero in 4 to this.. :lol

hahah you serious????? :lol

i wish they'd just make the hero speak in this one. in part 4 it was really weird... i just wanted to slap the guy and say "TALK YOU DUMB LOOKIN MUTHAFUCKER!!"

I don't understand the appeal of silent heroes.

Well, that explains alot. I guess I should have referred to his clothes exclusively.

I've heard Radiata Stories does this and I want Suikoden to up the ant and own that games recruitment up.

so you want SV to play like a game you never played?

Himuro said:
Well, based off how you recruit characters in RS. The simple fact that characters can only be gotten at certain times is a positive all in itselff without the need to play the game. Basically what I mean is, I'd like for Konami to evolve how you recruit characters.

You almost need to keep notes with Radiata Stories,
If Suikoden 5 had a built in notes sytem, keeping track of what characters want, requirements, where they are at certain times, etc it would fix it IMO, but Radiata Stories recruitment beacuse of this left some to be desired.

But it was certainly unique, and the town was certainly more alive beacuse of the daily routeens. Like I said, its not really the mechanic, rather then keeping track of, and there need to be an easier way to pass time if they go that route.

sorry. I was just bustingyour balls.. thanks for all the info.. I might love the series as much as some, but I always hope they can produce something great with it.. grabbing tactics up this month

Suikoden 1 and 2 were the only games to give non-talking protagonists personality and depth through animations and how the other characters reacted to them.

Something that Crono Trigger failed at. Yes Nintendo Bots. Chrono Trigger FAILED at this while Suikoden succeeded!

cough...Zelda... cough..

Link was a boring "save the world" type hero that had no tribulations except saving the princess and beating the ugly monster.

Your response fails at life.

Oh wait.. your Suikoden blinders must make it hard on your everyday life.. Not saying that they are bad games..they are great games.. but many games have had the main character not speak and have done very well DQ8 is another great example of it..

DDS1's Serph is an aweomse mute character.

Even though some games have had good mute characters like SMT, Suikoden, DQ...I'd prefer that they speak. :( I mean I don't mind it in a traditional rpg where there are no voices but in rpgs these days they all have voice acting and mute main characters when everyone else is talking seems kinda lame to me.

amen.. I want convesation trees!!!

Now -that- would be cool

If Suikoden 5 had the option where you get the choice of what the hero says like every other Suikoden, except he voices it! Along with just normal conversation without choices.

Ok does any fan of Suikoden 1 and 2 thinks this may be the return to original level of quality here? (except well the soundtracks that i think just CAN'T be surpassed)

Suikoden IV had an excellent montogue ending song.

Just wanted to give props to one of the few things the game did right.

Otherwise, nothing can match the songs "Reminiscence", "An Old Story" and "A Prayer to My Mother" from Suikoden II. Seriousely, these songs are as touching as you can get. May even be better than Uematsu's Final Fantasy VI soundtrack or Mitsuda's Xenogears soundtrack in terms of emotion they envoke.

Other great songs from the Suikoden series...

"Exceeding Love" (only good song from Suikoden 3)
"La Passione Commuove la Storia"
"Theme of Sadness" (gremio! ;_;)
"Avertuneiro Antes Lance Mao" (brillant!)

and just in terms of general Suikoden goodness that only Suikoden fans can appreciate...

"Gremio's Special Stew" (actual song title)

Darn, Himuro got himself banned for some racist remark ;_;

Well we'll have to carry on the suikoden love without him!
