New Trailer for The Suicide Squad

I don't understand this DC obsession with Suicide Squad. It always seemed to be crossing that line between dumbfun and just plain dumb.

Eh, I prefer this over the rest of the DCU movies. WW84 was total garbage and I can't say I enjoyed anything in it other than the mall scene. As for Harly Quinn's movie, I didn't expect it, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. The villains in the DCU are far more colorful than the moody heroes. The MCU adds charisma to both the good and bad which makes them more pleasurable.

yep, looks like it. I mean he put a kryptonite bullet in Superman's head so the movie is establishing him on equal footing with Deadshot from the first movie played by Will Smith. So you know Rinse and Repeat. More of the same.

I think they just want the kind of success Marvel had with Guardians' in which people reacted well to a goofy bunch of miscreants. Harvey Quinn also seems to have carved some deep inroads into female viewership and readership for them so they're going to ride it out as long as they can.

Warners just have no fucking clue what to do with DC. We could have movies from new characters like Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Zatanna, a decent Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, etc.
But no… let’s have another fucking Suicide Squad movie, even though the first one was garbage, because we have to have our own Guardians Of The Galaxy.
DC will continue to fail at the cinema, all the time they keep trying to copy Marvel. It’s fucking pathetic.
The Batman is just about the only thing coming up that’s doing it’s own thing.

Yeah, he's going to be the straight man in the movie. The only other person you could do that with would probably Joel Kinnaman but Idris Elba actually has charisma.
Honestly if it wasnt for James Gunn being attached, I'm not sure anybody would give a fuck.

I don’t know. Probably? It’ll be cheap and half assed, I’m sure. They’ll do that with so many characters on TV, while continuing to pour money into the regular big ones at the cinema, in attempt after attempt to pull in the Marvel dollar. It’s what they’ve done since Nolan left. No reason to see them stopping.
But I’m sure that bullshit Flash movie will be great. You know? The one that’s going to be an inferior version of the next Spider-man movie? Because they’re both about multiverse shenanigans, but only one comes from a competent fucking studio.

I sure can. I dunno, I would rather see studios make interesting failures than just a cavalcade of kinda meh movies. Have you watched Doom Patrol on HBO? I thought that show was great so there is hope they will make something good.

The reason why Joker was such a success, and the same reason The Batman will be, is because it completely ignored the Marvel formula, instead of just copying it. It was its own thing. How many DC films can you say that about since 2013?

Judging by the two trailers, half of them are only in the movie up until the helicopter scene; seems pretty blatant which 5 survive after that given they are absent the rest of the trailer completely

Well this trailer was waaay better than the others, which makes me want to see it, but knowing those scenes from the other trailers are in the movie to makes me go “eeeeh.”

Wonder Woman and Shazam! are their best films by far IMO... I was let down by WW84 but I think that was too many cooks in the kitchen.

WW1 and Shazam! as I mentioned were awesome and did their own thing. WW1 had vibes of Cpt. America 1 but that was really only the war part... the rest was its own.
