Nice. I need to wash the bad taste of the Netflix series out of my mouth.

I have all the others in hardback, so I'll buy this day one regardless.

Mad the way GRRM can't drop a new book to save the fans but wasn't The Witcher books finished and this dude is dropping a new one? Sad.

It's been a while but I think the two short story books and the first main book were my favourite. The second main book was good but after that it was not great. The third I remember struggling with it. I felt that it picked back up with the last book (Lady of the Lake) but I never bothered with Season of Storms.

I think it might have been the translation. If I remember right, when I read them the last two books (Swallow/Lake) weren't officially translated. Maybe I'll give them another try.

I dunno, the later books got very experimental with their narrative structure, what with the whole "these are stories and recollections ABOUT the Witcher from a century past". I think really just the short stories and how they played of fables really hooked me. So I'd want more of that, or maybe stuff set well before Geralt when the Witchers were in full bloom. I like his non-english sensibilities.

After Witcher 2, I read through all the available books at the time and unfortunately have to say, I found them rather average and can't remember almost anything. Somehow I enjoyed the Witcher games much more. Especially Witcher 3.
