Anyone here have experience with refurbished parts from Newegg, specifically videocards, but any sort of experince would be helpful. My current vid card burnt out on me (too much overclocking) and I now need a card right away and there are a couple of 6800 vanilla cards at newegg for 245 refurbed.

Thanks ahead of time.

I ordered a refurbished motherboard from them once, and it didnt work. i returned it, and had to pay a small restocking fee..which I found annoying since I hope they weren't actually gonna restock a defective item.

Unless the price is well worth it I'd spring for new.

I ordered a refurb Athlon 64 3400+ like 8 months ago and it's still running great.

Ordered an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro refurb and it's running great as well, even OC'ed pretty decently.

As a rule, I avoid refurb electronics, unless it's something that's really hard to screw up. Computer parts just aren't a good idea refurb. Maybe burners and stuff, but even that's kinda risky. PEACE.

thanks for the input so far. I guess it's be worth it to spend the $30 extra for a new 6800 then. The real pisser is that the card that wen out on me was an eVGA, and they usually make great cards.

The card I'm looking at now is an XFX 6800 vanilla. Anyone have good or bad experiences with XFX? Leadtek is also looking good, so same question.
