Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I have a feeling this is only the beginning.

As the black-sheep liberal child of Cuban immigrants in South Florida, I love this bit of news. I look forward to the reaction of some of the anti-Hillary, voting-for-Trump people I know. Hopefully doing business with Cuba is a step too far for them.

There definitely is a reason why Trump doesn't want anyone to see his tax records. This is probably the tip of the iceberg.

Adding to OP along with text transcript of excerpts.

A company controlled by Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president, secretly conducted business in communist Cuba during Fidel Castro's presidency despite strict American trade bans that made such undertakings illegal, according to interviews with former Trump executives, internal company records and court filings.

Documents show that the Trump company spent a minimum of $68,000 for its 1998 foray into Cuba at a time when the corporate expenditure of even a penny in the Caribbean country was prohibited without government approvl. But the company did not spend the money directly. Instead, with Trump's knowledge, executives funneled the cash for the Cuba trip through an American consulting firm called Seven Arrows Investment and Development Corporation. Once the business consultants traveled to the island and incurred the expenses for the venture, Seven Arrows instructed senior officers with Trump's comany, then called Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, on how to make the venture appear legal by linking it after-the-fact to a charitable effort.

The payment by Trump Hotels came just before the New York business mogul launched his first bid for the White House by seeking the nomination of the Reform Party. On his first day of the campaign, he traveled to Miami where he spoke to a group of Cuban-Americans, a critical bloc in the swing state. Trump vowed to maintain the embargo and never spend his or his companies' money in Cuba until Fidel Castro was removed from power. He did not disclose that, seven months earlier, Trump Hotels already had spent money sending consultants on the secret trip to conduct business in Havana.

No wonder he doesn't want to show them. He probably has so much dirty laundry, it would take months to go through. And he'll probably sweat and swear about it for months if it happened.

And his numbers will go up.

I don't think this will make his numbers go up but they will go up between now and election day. It will be because of Gary Johnson voters bleeding away (third parties always fade by election day). The media will try to tie his rise to some specific event but it will most likely just be that - more reluctant republicans coming under his tent.

As for this story, it will completely fade from the headlines within a week, because Trump will say something outrageous that will dominate the news cycle. My guess: It will be some kind of crude insult toward Hillary that the news media will act like is a huge deal, but that Trump's supporters will love. Some reference to PMS or menopause or something.

I mean really now...I feel like I look like a crazy whack job posting all this stuff about Trump on my FB haha. It's so much stuff you would think some of it was just not true. But no, it's all true!

Both sides are the same though, remember that.

You guys need to dive into the conservative pond more.

People don't care about his past. Just what he will do for our future. And america needs to be ran by a good businessman.

He could fuck a 14 year old girl and his supporters will think, "Eh. If there is grass on the field play ball, amiright???".

Hopefully this just continues to scare the masses.

Why is this guy not in jail? Needs to be locked up more than Hillary does. I just don't get it. Why is he so untouchable? For god sake America.

Okay, at this point it's more than ridiculous that Drumpf and his various business enterprises aren't under investigation by the FBI. It seems like every other week there's a new revelation about some shady/illegal business dealing he or one of his companies has been directly apart of. Where there's smoke, there's probably a huge fucking fire.

It is. But it's also reassuring to know that shit like this (among hundreds of other dumbfuck antics) will ensure that he doesn't add to that 40%, and thus, doesn't become the President.

It seriously helps keep me calm that every little revelation about something illegal that Drumpf has done (or one of his companies has done) only hurts his chances in swinging independents and moderates to his side. And boy, is this guy ever a gold mine for shady shit.

Has this man finally done everything that ever other sunk presidential campaign has been accused of? The only story needed to complete this is him murdering someone

I don't think anyone is under the illusion that this will have much effect on hardcore supporters who are already all-in.

You can't make this shit up but this is easily deflected by Trump and co. "Doesn't matter now embargo is gone."

Someone needs to ask Rubio and Ros-Lehtinen, who is not a Trump supporter, about this ASAP. That will give the story life and might get some traction.

Cuban voters in FL will care.

Old Cubans are Die-Hard Republicans and while yes anything supporting Castro is poison, they will still not support Democrats. I just called up my mother and informed her. Her reply, "Well Obama already opened up Cuba so it's pointless." and she just laughed it off. The ONLY way I can see this gaining traction is if Trump is asked about it and he says something evenly remotely positive about Castro.

Putin, strong!
Cuba, business!
China, go into North Korea!

What the hell Republican party? The one thing you guys could hang your hat on was being tough on the reds.

Has Trump ever spent time in jail? How is he actually allowed to continue running for president when he's been caught doing so many illegal things?

Y'know, besides him being rich and all...

This won't change the voting patterns of any voting block but one, Cuban-Americans in Florida. And that voting block is very important to deciding who wins the state. If Cuban-Americans flip to Clinton then Trump basically has no chance in Florida.

I'm not convinced. nothing sticks to this jackass, his base doesn't care and most vexing of all, most maddening of all is that there are still undecided voters out there. how is that possible?! how!?

The next time someone says Hillary is shady, I would be more than happy to grab their head with both hands, turn it towards Trump, point and say:

"No son, THAT is shady."

God's had his chance.
At this point I think the greatest punchline to this joke would that - because of the raised attention and scrutiny that running for public office brings - Trump gets prosecuted for some shady back door deals and catches some serious shit from the Fed when all is said and done.

Like... this was his leap of faith to either make it all the way and dodge some bullets or fuckup royal and bring WAY too much attention to his shitty business practices (read: illegal) and end up getting hung out for it.

On the plus side this election cycle has been a fabulous litmus test for my FB account. So many ignored people. It's quite nice.

How does he not go to jail for this, actually? Is that not pretty clear cut illegal?

He admitted to tax evasion on live TV the other night, pretty sure this guy could pull out a gun and shoot someone during a debate and nobody would do anything.

I suppose next we'll be hearing that he funneled money into Iran because the shah was promising tremendous business. And that his supporters will somehow blame Obama for the Iran Contra Affair.
