Actually a bit surprised that they licensed a track for the reveal. I always said it was a well produced track.

Tell me your budget, I tell you what to buy. This Sony XH80 has no HDMI 2.1, but has insane input lag numbers, and Sony's iconic processing power and color accuracy. It lacks local dimming as well, has 43-49" for you there:

Well if tempest uses a kind of cell processor why not emulate the ps3 on the tempest engine??

Two great things though: their push for cross-play and Star Wars.

EA didnt show much but we got glimpses at their current next-gen projects, some of these look unreal, criterion's in particular look like how i expected GT7 to look (timestamped)

I really hope they deliver, it's a shame a big company I grew up playing its games to turn into a shit company. So far, I'll wait for them to redeem themselves.

these are practically pc tech demos projecting what could be possible in a few years.
compared to unfinished, unoptimized games that had to run on hardware of course it'll look better. But expect the final games to look close, and the batch after those to look just like this
 
so EA has only sports games for next-gen this year, i know that will give them shitload of revanue but i was still in hope for some more, maybe Need for Speed.

Let me understand, whatever looks good (unreal Engine 5, Hellblade 2, This face render) is or a tech Demo, or an In-Engine something or a "just a face demo" so not possibile to be produced in a real world scenario such as a real game enviroment, whatever looks meh is actually...well, meh

Thanks I appreciate it, yeah my budget is around £600, I'm from the U.K so that would be around 650 or more in dollars.

I'm not too fussed about things like input lag, truth is I don't even know what it is. Although I do value good picture quality, hopefully when I play a game like HZD 2 I really want it to pop on my screen, both in visuals and colour.

Who knows, maybe it's running on a PS5 devkit? You know that DICE dev said they will take full advantage of the tempest 3d audio? So maybe another PS5 timed/permanent exclusive in the making? Or built around PS5.

Yep, for people thinking that the existence of DE is death to PS1-3 BC, they're underestimating what Sony can do with PS Now. Just remember you would be able to download all catalog instead of just streaming.

It'll be funny if tht ends up being the merged package of plus and Psnow tht was rumored over a year ago and thts the bc all the ps1, 2, 3 games etc via now for streaming and dl.
 
Anyway I don't know if it is because of the pandemic but these shows and demostrations so far have been really boring, delusional and misleading with a lack of information towards the next gen. I don't remember such a lack of information and companies so stingy in unvealing their futures games and perspective back in 2013.

But that's just two cars not in a race. Hell ps4 could do thst if it just had to render a car outdoors with nothing else.

Don't knock till we see the ingsme racing with more than 16 cars on a track in one go

Like third party publishers would offer free upgrades to one platform and charge the other, whoever thought this would happen must seriously review their logic.

Well maybe dont take it out on me, when all i said is to expect games to look more like this over time, across the board.
The game may end up looking close in quality to the face demo, but you can't compare it to actual in-progress PS5 gameplay because this is what the actual DICE game looks like in its current form

I'm sure that was posted here by now but I laughed so hard at this.

It just read as one of those fanboy stories I've been hearing for 15+ years in the game industry of Microsoft finally opening up those unlimited coffers to monopolize vidya games. Sounds like someone is a little desperate after they got completely removed from conversation after Sony's reveal getting overshadowed fast.

dont get me wrong, i am expecting the game to look better by launch, im just pointing to this to show it should be possible to have this level of quality with next gen hardware.
