What?
there are still people that think this...?

No, but the reveal officially kicked off the console warriors full force. They are on a mission now. What they dont know is how stupid they look doing it.

Plus the DRAM-less SSD of XSX is questionable
Well, a SATA 3 SSD with 0.5GB/s and a potato PC does load State of Decay 2 in 16 sec vs 11 sec of XSX vs 52 sec X1X.
The post Ethomaz is referring to isnt even what was said. The guy said that the 100 plus Cerncy mentioned wont be ps5 optimized, meaning higher frame rates, resolutions and and PS5 features like Ray Tracing.
The cave is like 1.5 GB at most and launch in 5 sec, based on your logic the spewd is 300mb/s
Quick resume seems fine for me. They are running xbox one x games (which has 12GB of ram). Let's say games are using 9.5GB. It was always 6 seconds to change between games.
If we assume the write speed is 2.4GB, it has 3 seconds to write the current state from ram to the ssd, and 3 seconds to load the last one.
2.4GB/s * 3 = 7.2GB
Yet, not enough time (considering 9.5GB). Maybe they're using the some compression to help.
Anyway, very hard to say how much they are transferring. Unless you have completely ignored the fact they also need to write the current state to ssd, I can't see where this is a proof of anything.
SOD running via BC? Is it your argument? Really? Ok then. I can see what's going on here. Never mind.

that's just what Xbox has officially demoed as a big advantage, which is not impressive so far.
I was never hyped for this game and little interest I had died as time went on.
I prefer the latter option. Gimmie that RT Gi at 1080p instead of 4K with no RT at all.
- 4K native and barely any raytracing vs FHD native and lots of raytracing
Looks that was discussed dozen of times. The post Ethomaz is referring to isnt even what was said. The guy said that the 100 plus Cerncy mentioned wont be ps5 optimized, meaning higher frame rates, resolutions and and PS5 features like Ray Tracing.

PS5 has 3 modes for BC.
PS5 Mode (Cerny call boost mode with enhancements on resolution and/or framerate).
PS4 Pro mode (like you play the game on Pro)
PS4 mode (like you play the game on PS4)
Games with enhancement (PS5 mode) needs to be tested and even patched.... Devs working on PS4 games from this month needs to do the work themselves on the PS5 BC mode (it is mandatory) while old games Sony is testing and making the changes themselves (these 100 Cerny claimed to be done in March).
So yes the 100 games are PS5 optimized like every PS4 game launched after June needs to be.
Everything else (4000+ titles) works by default on PS4 / PS4 Pro BC modes.
So cut the bullshit.
lol Holiday 2020 is back.Seems PS Website is updated again

If you see Polyphony, Insomniac, GG are keeping the ball of hype rolling with their real exciting games instead of bothering us about BC bullshit.

What impresses me the most in PS5 games is the insane details in the distant objects/graphics. Draw distance is one of the shittiest aspects of games overall, and with the smart PS5 tech of dealing with polygon target per frame instead of LOD's the right leap has been made!
Yet Sony is the only one to show a Next-Gen game running on actual hardware @4k@60fpsOhh I meant on the Sony side, they don't seem to care about 60fps... Microsoft can't stop talking about 60fps and 120fps and I like that.
C9 is huge, I would love to get a large OLED screen but I have two problems, size and price. Even for next-gen, I'll have to buy a TV which is under 48 inches, anything bigger just won't fit in my room and 45' is already a stretch! It will be tricky since almost all 4K TV's are all above 42 inches and are coming in large sized like 50-65 inches.I wonder if they'll touch a bit on HDMI 2.1. My C9 is thirsty.
You my friend are preaching to the choir lol oh I see the massive upgrades, loving what I'm seeing.
And going forward, I have more faith I won't lose an iconic anime game like Captain Tsubasa, which is available on every platform (PS4, Switch, Steam) but not xbox!
Look here to understand what I mean by draw distance. It's been a hassle all these years to deal with draw distance, zoom in as much as you like! It freaking looks like a photograph or a movie! No blur or fog effects needed to hide the LOD's bullshit we're dealing with in current gen! (don't mind the shadow glitch of Ratchet, it's pre-alpha)

So... this pillow ad just popped into my browser. Tell me if I am losing it.

Ah that's unfortunate. Break some of the side walls to get the 48" in? lol![]()
Yes it is, did you remember the discussion where some people mostly xbox fans talk about a compression for textures which accordly to themSoo... is this like a legit tech? I totally missed the memo on this and it seems to have popped-up out of nowhere yesterday

I'm initially into 65", but considering 75-85" Sony XH90 (X900H)! Currently at 55", and I preferring placing my TV's on a bench, something like this: (not my photo)

You can put whatever size you want!
Even better, gimme 1440p + those alien reconstruction techniques to get 4k + GI(be it Lumen-alike or RT) + 60 fps and i can be happy for the rest of next gen.
Why is that? We're getting native 4K, RT, GI. No need for compromises!
Was not narrative was ignorance of his fans about that data was presented by MIcrosoft or ignorance of how his favorite console works. We need another board for Xbox fans' narratives, looks like we can uncheck 'BCPack'.
Yes it is, did you remember the discussion where some people mostly xbox fans talk about a compression for textures which accordly to them
will deliver more bandwidth than PS5, which is stupid as Microsoft already told us how much this BCPack will improve its bandwidth.
The thing with this new algorithm of RAD is accordly to them (and some number we can do) Sony will increment its bandwidth as when they gave the number
only use Kraken, that is why the compression was minor in PS5 than XSX.
Of course I think not only Sony will use it also XSX but the thing is they are already close to its limit of decompression so just let's make a quick numbers (speculation)
I will use 10% of improvement in both consoles I prefer to be moderate in the amount of improvement:
4.8 *1.1 = 5.28 GB/s
9*1.1= 9.9 GB/s
But now imagine an compression more aggressive of 40% (which still looks great):
4.8 *1.4 = 6.72 but the decompressor has a limit of 6 GB/s so in reality should be 6 GB/s
9*1.4= 12.6 GB/s
Of course is not easy to make a calculus like this as you should has a larger sample to obtain a more realistic average quantity and also this means more data in our disc.
we built a custom decompressor into the I/O unit, one capable of handling over 5GB of Kraken format input data a second, and after decompression, that typically becomes 8 or 9 GB, but the unit itself is capable of outputting as much as 22 GB/s if the data happened to compress particularly well
Probably Sony and Microsoft knows about this new tech of RAD that is why the comment its total power of its decompressor unitsIts oodle doodle on the textures and graphics before they are put onto the 100 GB Blu ray. Prepared and ready, so compressed before hand.
The kraken hardware chip will then decompress them up to 22 Gbs. But why 22 GBs ...Cerny smiles...
But its only 8 or 9 Gbs....Cerny smiles...
But but you wont get high res textures on a 100 GB blu ray so Ps5 cant use crazy high extures for a whole game....,Cerny smiles....
