I don’t know about PSVR or how it works.

Did anyone share this? Crazy how creative you can be with PS5:
Your point of view seems very correct and respectable, but I do not share it. The company is interested in selling PSVR2 as cheaply as possible and as light as possible. Therefore adding headphones is not a priority. Also, the built-in headphones have a specific quality. It is best left to the choice of the user which headphones to use. On the other hand, there are plenty of wireless headphones, including the Pulse 3D. The experience with VR audio is much better in headphones that isolate you as much as possible from the outside, and putting that configuration in a VR helmet that adapts to all heads and ears is quite complicated and no, it is not cheap. It is preferable to invest space, money and time in a good wireless independent positioning system than in an integrated headset. This I tell you from my experience, but I understand that it does not have to be liked by everyone. Everyone has their priorities. I prefer to spend less on good lightweight wireless VRs and use my higher quality wireless headphones (any type). Not always two people can share the same vision. But who knows, maybe they release two versions (or not). Two words: convinience and comfort. One less thing on your head, one less wire annoying you. Also, with standard speekers developers can fine tune the audio to them.
I doubt it would cost Sony more than 10 dollars to implement, but if it does, then I agree with you that a low entry price should be priority.
The TMU complex are these rectangles to the right side... just the big last one is not part of it.
RT unit is inside it.
The difference is that AMD uses a big unit while MS uses 4 smaller units?
I believe that is the case.Sure it could be something as simple as a diagram difference.
AMD did say their solution is consistent across PC and consoles.
Not really the same is it, we all new the One had weaker hardware , that’s not the case this timeDejavu of Xbox One.
Microsoft and Sony started R&D on these consoles in 2017, most probably early that year. They had more than enough time to grow and mature their SDKs before shipping the first gen devkits to developers. Shipping underdeveloped, unfinished sdks to devs is unacceptable, especially for a company that specialises in software engineering. And it's unlikely that developing the sdk further would lead to any discernible difference in performance. Sony can improve their sdk just like Microsoft can. I just like how some fanboys think that improving an sdk will lead to some sort of magical ,gargantuan leap in performance and visual fidelity and live under the false pretence that the difference in performance is due to an underdeveloped sdk on the Xbox side and that's just laughable to say the least ,especially SenjutsuSage himself who seems to live in an echo chamber and spreads misinformed bs like there's no tomorrow . He should take the L and gtfo.Oh the Digital Foundry defence force it's started. It takes more than expected. And what should happen when the magical tools on series X will be improved? Yes, series X undoubtful can't only going better but to say generic assumption like this feed just the fanboy fantasies in the face off comparison.
UK to Europe won't be an issue, 220/240v is common, however, I believe PS5 (as PS4 was before it) is 110-240V 50/60hz. So it can be used anywhere in the world.Hey all, long time no see!
Hope everyone will be getting a PS5 on launch, it seems like hell out there. Struggling myself
Does anyone know if all 2 pin power cables work for it?
Say if I managed to get a UK PS5 into Europe and didn't want to use an adapter, could I just use a generic cable?
I don't see that in the hotchip I see something else.I believe that is the case.
AMD draw a big unit that do 4 intersections.
MS draw 4 small unit that do 1 intersections each.
Same place inside the TMU... same result.
Thanks! Good to knowUK to Europe won't be an issue, 220/240v is common, however, I believe PS5 (as PS4 was before it) is 110-240V 50/60hz. So it can be used anywhere in the world.
Most Fig8 cables work just fine.
Looks like a combination of hard editing and photomode.amazing..........he did it with photo mode?

Trap it is very confusing that is why I believe it just different diagrams.I don't see that in the hotchip I see something else.

Textures Unit SX= 2 Texture filters Units + 8 Texture Mapping
Raytrace Acel SX = 2 Textures filters Units + 8 textures Mapping calculate RT ( I dont thing how)
RDNA2 RT acel mayby same Textures Filters Units + 8 Texture mapping + RT accel
RT accel = Clock per CU controller. Variable Clock per CU (like Mat). RT accel can not do calc itseft because is very small (is not RT hardware Nvidia) is only a clock controller but very important, when CU calc RT you dont need FP32 maybe FP16 is enough. Due to this CU can go up and accel clock to calculate RT. Is very intelligent, but less efficent than Nvidia. But good for consoles is cheap and good control for another things.
Maybe MS could not access the variable clock technology because it is a technology that has come out of collaboration with sony so they had to spend silicon to be able to perform the same calculations due to the fixed clocks.
However, until the whitter paper comes out, we won't know anything.

RT core is so big on nvidia that it led me to think that the RT accelerator is just a CLock control unit for each CU depending on the task to be performed.
what are you talking about? they just optimised it for single bounce reflection. it doesn't have reflections in reflections. don't act like its revolutionary. they made trade offs for performance. In theory the PS5 shouldn't be capable of that level of Ray Tracing in Miles Morales yet somehow it manages to do that. It's something to think about.

How to use Dualsense on PC and Nintendo Switch: step by step to set up the PS5 controller
Did you know that you can play on PC and Nintendo Switch with a PS5 DualSense controller? We tell you how to configure it for these platforms in the following guide. It has recently been discovered that the PlayStation 5 controller can be used to enjoy games on PCs and, surprisingly, on Nintendo...nintendosmash.com
Probably one of the reasons for buying Bethseda was the fear that too many games would perform better on a competitor's device. Imagine such a scenario (Doom, and others perform better).

Who the fuck is gross enough to post PRIVATE conversations with someone? I know these people are a bit touched, but this is how you lose friends and soil your name in any industry... all for what? A quick laugh or trying to weakly prove a point?
Im glad Im still have PDP (plasma) TV from Panny. Details and contrast are still amazing.CX is wonderful, don't be sad. There is like perfect blacks but crushed details in OLED, there is more details on XH90 but blooming.
There is no perfect TV, but LG C9/CX and Sony XH90 are the tv's to choose from for HDMI 2.1.

Shit that he means to share will be in the podcast or the DF videos.
I just wright "Probably one of the reasons".trolling at is finest!
Seems like DF have Alex with the Series X coverage and John with PS5, Im not sure Alex has a PS5 yet. Richard has both as well as John so no reason they couldn't make this video. What a boring sunday for those of us who couldn't get a nextgen console, yet.
Not a single PS5 vs Series X youtube video!
And DF won't post their Valhalla comparison. Probably waiting for an Xbox patch or something?
I have tested 7SIII and its really amazing. AF is out of world.Yeah few months from now it'll get the best firmware update and all fixes needed, so you'll get it even much cheaper than now if you can still spare some. I'm now being totally fucked by Sony a7S III ($3,500) and around 3-4 lenses for at least $7,000 plan! This could fuck up even buying XH90 as at the end it won't make me money.![]()

I do think that DF are generally surprised that PS5 is performing better than XSX. Seems like they didn't really believe in Cerny's road to PS5 talk. I've seen a fair few Tech YT channels call out DF and the knowledge they have, the cherno comes to mind and seems like was very unimpressed with the Halo video for example. Moore's lore is dead has also called them out as well as AdoredTv.
I personally don't care what they have to say due to inconsistencies in video's and how they cover them.
Except screen tearing, unfortunately you can't unsee that shithuh? The nextgen games basically look identical - according to DF at least. Playing the games you wouldn’t really see a difference.
I would say it is. This is from 2 nights ago. Timestamped. If the conversation is indeed true![]()

They can spin like Richard and Alex always do.But they cannot lie or manipulate results.
Credibility would be gone.
Is not like they are the absolute only source.
To be fair, Alex is the perfect man of the hour for the situation. I can't possibly think a more fitting name for the job at hand. I mean the man has more than proven himself with everyone's best friend Craig's lighting make-up. He has my full support.Seems like DF have Alex with the Series X coverage and John with PS5, Im not sure Alex has a PS5 yet. It’s clear for me, that CPU is performing better on PS5. The games bounds by CPU or higher framerate modes is where PS5 have a huge advantage, and you have 2-5fps advantage on XSX cutscenes. Probably Sony have more custom chipset that free CPU from other task (audio and SAD)
im actually talking about Alex Betaglia or whatever, he posted on twitter saying he already finished doing the comparative, and that was like 2 days ago, what are they waiting?, DF usually has something the same launch day of a game, but idk... maybe we are just pushing them too hard.... im just really curious to see how these 2 consoles perform head to head...John of DF broke his SSD in his 4 TB special recording device and lost a day or so work. He said so on Twitter
This is yet another great and helpful PlayStation 5 UI feature! Love it!
It surprises me that people are surprised by this. I always expected that PS5 will probably have a CPU advantage because of the amount of extra custom silicon in there for the I/O that lessens the load on CPU. I got the sense that Richard at DF was immediately dismissive of Cerny's claims in that presentation, but most of the evidence we have seen so far has backed up Cerny.THIS ^^^
I truly believe Digital Foundry is caught off guard and/or also doesn’t know there’s a legit difference in the CPU architecture. Those cache tweaks that we’ve heard hinted at, truly seem to be real and showing up in a big way with latencies. And that’s something a devkit tweak can’t make up for. While Microsoft is proclaiming “We’re the only real ‘Full RDNA 2!!’” Sony just stays quiet and let’s their more customized CPU architecture speak for itself.
Yeah really pissed me when Richard was being skeptical, I wouldn't have minded had he shown the same level of skepticism towards Series X claims but instead they were sucking Microsoft's dick.It surprises me that people are surprised by this.
