For those that don't want to/can't be bothered reading Cerium's post, he says that mods are volunteers.
Cerium might buy them a hot dog and coke if they are lucky.

Seems like you found your new avatar.
You appear to have professionalism and greed mixed up. There’s no way in hell the site is worth 4.5M, not even on a good day. People only bought into the premise of it because it was being toted as GAF 2.0 with a more relaxed community feel. But when push came to shove, it was GAF 0.5 - a step back. There’s nothing professional there - or nothing professional about posting the news at midnight - the whole thing is a shambles. This exactly. Regardless of what happened, the sheer professionalism of the takeover has to be respected. It was, even back then, so amazingly obvious that the new site was done for the sake of money and not due to some glorious higher purpose. The preparedness of it all, and how it seemed to be forgotten under the guise of being "saved" was interesting to say the least. Many users may have moved for various reasons, but many just got swept away.

If you look at business as of a whole, they tend to walk hand in hand. It was profesionally executed, with greed as the underlying driver. You appear to have professionalism and greed mixed up. Hmm... has no one noticed how the focus of the purchase was revenue via ad growth? I bet the users can't wait.
I would LOVE if they start opening a lot of topics everyday to ask for donations, easy way to unmask this guy...Hahaha yeah I'm sure he is going to donate to your insane causes...
Strange, I expected the purchase to be about the healthy, wholesome and sane community.
The fact that they sold out whereas you told the capitalist corporations to eat shit for over twice the potential payout should tell anyone all they need to know about each's respective political principles.Mmm.
Why would a company specialising in MOBA's even touch something so far removed from their target audience?

Did they miss the Media Create Sales fiasko in september?
Reeeee is a dying platform, as more and more people are waking up over there. Pretty bad investment.
This "Cerium" guy reminds me of Ray Kroc.
Having a read through the comments, it ranges from "this is great" to "uh oh".
Bet that Newman guy is kicking himself for selling off his share to Cerium.
So-called "left wing" liberalism in action. No ownership by the community. All the people who worked hard building their "brand safe" platform get nothing.
This is hilarious. They paid $80 a member, but each member only generates $12 a year. They also ban more people than they have new users signing up, which means not only are they declining in usership, but it would take this company 7 years to recoup their money at the current total.
Guess what that means? It means, for all the talk about the new owners being hands off, there are going to be a lot of shitty changes on that site in the near future that the community won't like. Add to that the constant implosions that keep happening over there and I give the site a couple more years, at best.
