I'm actually glad this was first. The amount of people exposed to Mob Psycho 100 on Twitch was maximized. Might not have been seen as much later in the lineup after the anime hype died down.

I haven't watched anime since I was 13 (now 25).

This show was amazing. Everything about it was amazing.

I just hate that I didn't know there would be a Season 2, I hate waiting for these things and now I'm invested.

So I hope everyone who watched realized how much of a masterpiece this anime is

I'm just going to quote an excerpt from a review that sums up my feelings:

Having the capacity to hurt other people doesn’t make you powerful, needing to have talents to feel special doesn’t make you unique, and being just a nice guy won’t make you popular or desirable to the opposite sex if you don’t learn to engage with other people. These are the lessons Mob is concerned with, not who has the highest power level or how having friends makes you stronger than the bad guys. Mob doesn’t just tell you that the power of friendship is the greatest thing in the world and leaves it at that, it also tells you why it’s important to develop these connections, and more importantly, why it’s important to develop yourself as a person. The jocks who spend all day working out and getting in shape aren’t depicted as admirable because they can kick your ass, but because they genuinely want to improve themselves and are extremely encouraging towards those who wish to do the same. The cool kids aren’t always jerks, and nerds aren’t great people who are owed other people’s attention just because they are “nice”. I can’t stress enough how badly the anime and “nerd” crowd needs to hear these lessons.

Mob Psycho 100 is a show that plays with the familiar tropes of anime and then constantly subverts them until you’re watching a grounded story about personal growth and self-improvement. The fact that it’s also hilarious and sports amazing action scenes and animation is a bonus, but for anyone on the fence about watching this show or about anime in general, don’t be, you owe it to yourself to watch this.

At first I REALLY HATED the ending of Mob psycho. It felt like the largest cockblock.

After watching it again and realizing that it's ONE... I still dislike it, but I understand why.

You'd probably enjoy what the hypothetical end of season 2 would be is a lot more

What other animes on the list have strong or good messages like Mob Psycho 100?

I'm trying to avoid mindless or fan-service filled animes on the list.

People tend to hate it because they expect that huge rage out from Mob and get real pissed the story puts the themes and morals of its characters on the forefront. Reigen beats them by exposing the fallacy of their world view and destroying the facade of power and control that Klaw thought it had. It's really rather brilliant at undercutting expectations while giving the audience something exciting and powerful.

Damn it I don't know if I should watch the dragon maid show, it looks like fan service otaku heaven, which I don't want.
It's actually quite heartwarming, but yes it does have some fanservice in it. There is one scene in one episode which is especially out of wack, so I wouldn't blame you for skipping this.

MP100 is much better than 1st episode made me believe. And while it is very good, I don't think I would call a masterpiece. But that's fine, I enjoyed the last hours a lot.

It's why I loved it.

It's like, oh god he's gonna do the typical shonen shit where his friend gets killed and he goes super saiyen and shit and the Reigen shows up and saves the fucking show.

I guess I should have expected the title to be the actual plot of the show, it really is a Dragon Maid.

Wait is this about lesbian dragons?
