You'd think LeBeau would be able to develop or recognize DB talent. Not that it always correlates of course.

We had one of the best defenses of all time in 2008 and the Packers Samsunged our defense on their way to the Superbowl last year. He knows what he is doing, but the Steelers have been so good for so long that eventually it becomes difficult to fill in all of the holes. We lose guys in FA (the NY teams always try to lure our receivers away), to injuries, and old age. Eventually you have to take some risks on bums and low draft picks and hope that you keep hitting it out of the park in the draft.

It is tough to stay on top in the NFL for a reason.

Welli I was actually seeing NYGaffers advice on something non-football related.

I am meeting up with some friends some law school on the 19th in NYC, probably Manhattan. We are coming in from all 4 corners of the East Coast with maybe only 3 of us living in the greater NY area and we are all at different points in our life. I hate the cowboys because they fucking suck most years and the media still slobbers over them. It's kind of ridiculous. I know they get a lot of attention for being in NFC East and having a fucking gigantic market but I just get sick of hearing about them constantly. I'm pretty sure a lot of fans of other teams feel the same way. Other franchises have been very successful but you don't see the media continually slobbing their knob unless they happen to be good that year.

I was feeling pretty good about this upcoming game until Bodden was cut. The defense is going to be so bad.

Yeah I agree... something definitely went wrong there. The good news is Bodden has missed quite a bit this year and we survived it. It's dissapointing because I figured our pass rush is getting better, and if the secondary got it's act together it would be even better... for instance Mccourty won't live up to his initial hype, but he can't be THIS bad the whole season, I hope. I figured Bodden would get healthy and stronger as the season went on after missing all of last season, and eventually Dowling would get in there. Now all we can do is bank on a 1st year corner famous for being made of glass.
