I think it's just age. He wasn't going to play like he did early in his career forever. After a while you just aren't the same guy. Not saying he is terrible, but he is certainly a different QB. Also I wonder how much the knee injury hurt him mentally. The happy feet Brady happened more often after the injury.

I absolutely agree. I think age (recovery time) is a big part of it. Favre got the same way after a certain point. The falling backwards "eff it, I'm out of here" throw, etc.

The injury certainly didn't help.
