5 game lead with 8 games to go..... still kind of nervous about it. as easy as the schedule looks, our division games are always tough.

still, the fact that we could be 1-7 right now and still only 1 game out of first is a joke!

I was just starting to forget about that post sb42 feeling, but it came right back today. The (mostly bandwagon) fans are getting restless, Belichick's gonna be on the hot seat after this travesty.

Yes he is. He still didn't do much. The running game and defense is what is carrying this squad. Romo Jr is just feeding them the rock.
 
I dont know but Brady doesnt seem himself this season.The whole team changed after the Bills game.

Its like the Colts game a few years ago where they blew the lead and collapsed the rest of the season.

Made the mistake of watching today's Bills game with Jet fans, what a terrible way to spend my Sunday.

Team was dominated up front, Fitz + Chan were mind fucked, didn't call a screen until the end of the 3rd. Shit D didn't help matters. Need more athletes on O, bigger/faster receiver.

Maybe it's me being salty but the refs were atrocious on a few PI calls, my friends didn't see it the same way. Probably being a homer, but those were touchy calls from my pov.

Can't win with the way the D is playing at times, 9 minutes drives, jesus christ....

Edit: 4th and inches, lets run with a FB in the backfield, fuck the QB sneak.

This will actually be a good thing, but it won't happen. They still view him as the football god around here. Like I keep complaining about every week his horrible decisions the last few years have cost the Pats.

It's because the league has figured them out for the most part now. Not sure if O'Brien is the right man for the job either. He struggles with adjustments.

Edit: I mean you are starting to see similar game plans from teams attacking the Pats.

Yeah I won't deny that, the Belichick mystique has worn pretty thin though. He's gonna have to make big changes this offseason to fix this defense.

There is zero hope here. At least the Colts get Luck. The Rams are in cap hell with no players. When the 49ers fired Singletary, there was dormant talent waiting to be realized.

The Rams have nothing. Worse b/c they have to be bad again for two years to wait for Smith and Bradford to get off the roster.

There is no mystique as long as we are winning. We finished last season with a 14-2 record with a team not close to that caliber. We are 5-3 at the moment, I would say we are pretty much where we should be.

You guys can beat up on teams all regular season, but since 18-1 you guys have looked awful in the playoffs. Nobodies scared of Belichick anymore.

What are you talking about? I was never under the assumption that people were afraid of Belichick. Nothing has surprised me in our two playoff appearances either.

Brady was sick last season. Especially in the second half of the season. He was mainly the reason they went 14-2. Who knows he might heat it up soon, but you can't always rely on that. I felt like they weren't as good as their record indicated last season. Can't complain about 5-3 right now. All they have to do now is beat the Jets. I just feel like they don't have the defense it takes to make it to the super bowl.

Now that the Steelers have them figured out, I don't think they'll be back anytime soon.
