Right now the Chiefs have to be wondering if they are really as good as their record indicates, given that they haven't played anyone with an above .500 record. They come to Denver and quite frankly are getting their asses handed to them. Peyton twisting that dagger in there would have been the coup de grace.
Denver lost their first game against a +.500 opponent as well.

Meh. The game is already on ice. Get the yard, chew up some more time, score a TD and bury these guys. It would have been demoralizing and potentially sent a message that would have carried into the next game.

Did Alex Smith run over your dog or something?

Lol you don't need to man. 7 min and a three score game is just fine.

All I'm saying is when they are down, you hold them down. You keep Manning on the field as much as possible. FG are nice, and yes it essentially closed the game. But you bury them at this point.

Please. You win the game, end of story. That other crap is nonsense.
They play each other twice over a three week period. You're all nuts if you don't think there's going to be carry over from this game. It's one thing to play a divisional rival twice separated by a month or more. Twice in three weeks, even football players can remember stuff over that short a period.

And if you don't make it? Chiefs drive the field and get within one score with 3-4 min left? You look like an idiot, and maybe even lose.

That sounds like a good way to overplay Manning and get him hurt!
