I hate this statistic. NFL is just as much about defense and the Lions defense was horrid for nearly all of Stafford's career.

I'm nota huge fan of Stafford, either, but I find it ridiculous.

That's not a fair stat at all. Stafford barely played his first two years due to injuries and our 10-6 playoff season in 2011 had our schedule against a bunch of 8-8 teams for some reason.

Plus Stafford doesn't play defense or run the ball very often.

Of course it is. But it's the type of stat that makes the talk shows, therefore it's something that people will gravitate towards because they don't know any better, and/or are as lazy as the people who's job it is to write the shit in the first place.
