Jones is not bad, but he's not elite. They still need another guy opposite of him. The real issue is Belichicks inability to move on from those shitty scrappy players like Ninkovich. Nink is absolute dogshit, and yet he stars every game. I'm over exaggerating a bit, but he's just a role player for a good defense. He has no business starting on defense.

Tom Kelly is the perfect solution to this problem. Unfortunately Belichick the GM is terrible.

Edit: Think about this. Somehow Vellano was not cut, but Kelly was. Vellano actually made the squad.

No offense, but just about anybody can run on this line. It's pretty terrible.

Not sure why you have to say no offense. It's a fact right now. Vince is the only guy earning his keep so far. Jones has been hit or miss, and the rest of the guys have been terrible. They would have had a solid line had they kept Kelly. Still the dumbest move of the year. People keep hammering the Mankins trade, but the worst thing that happened to this team has been cutting Kelly.
