When was the last season that the consensus top 2 teams in the league made the Super Bowl? 2009? 2014?

edit: nevermind, the last few seasons have all had the #1 seeds in the Super Bowl

I think you misunderstood their use of "hottest".

Luck and Bradford are 1&2 in sack rate. One day I'd like to cheer for a QB with a good line. Maybe I should be a Cowboys fan

Will any AFC team magically come to life to defeat them in the postseason? I don't see it, not sure if it will translate to stats, but this looks like a historically bad season for AFC teams. They all severely flawed except the Pats.

I'm still not 100% sold on the Cowboys for some reason. They remind of the Chargers back when they would make the postseason last decade. Dak is damn good for a rookie though, proves that some QBs are just straight up more turnover prone than others.

He's young but doesn't throw anything too stupid. The good O-line and coaching helps though.

Carr will deliver us from evil.

Somewhere out there Mech just looked up in surprise & dismay, unsure if something happened at home or if someone he knew was making a strange decision.

Biggest worry with the Patriots is the lack of injuries and lack of any real adversity.

Some bumps and bruises. Some players miss a game or two, but nothing major. The largest injuries happened before the season started.

The only loss of the season occurred when we didn't have a functional quarterback. Right back to full strength the next week. Since then they have just coasted along. Maybe Seattle or Denver will provide more of a challenge.

I know it was just yesterday morning, but it's now hit me that Andre Johnson retired. I didn't really sit there and think about all the insane catches he had until now.

Steelers and Denver are the only teams. Steelers can drop 30 plus if healthy and Denver can give a QB no time to throw and force turnovers.

Yeah but Steelers have no defense and seem to purposefully refuse to cover Gronk, and the Denver offense can be stopped. If the Pats don't have to travel to Mile High in the playoffs they'll go to the SB

Alshon Jeffrey to Philadelphia, please...

I am so sick of watching these receivers fail to create separation and drop crucial 3rd down balls, especially when the o-line has been giving Wentz at least enough time to place the ball in good places. If we can figure out the wide receiver position and add even one above average cornerback, I believe the Eagles can make a deep playoff run next season.

Their defense isn't that good with or without Collins. Smoke and mirrors bend but don't break. They don't pressure the QB force turnovers or get off the field on 3rd down enough.

any team with some playmakers on offense is gonna give the Pats a game. That defense is acceptable, but in no way dictating the course of play.

If they get Jeffery they're instant contenders. They were handling the Cowboys pretty well until Doug's baffling playcalling at the end of the 4th quarter. The Cowboys deserve credit for coming back from down 10 to tie it up, but if we had even one receiver that could stretch the field and catch the Eagles would've closed it out. So if they can get Jeffery they'll be contenders with a solid 2017 draft.

That's a big maybe. A good defense travels and Belichick's defenses have historically struggled against zone blocking schemes.

Yeah, I guess that first Chargers game the Broncos played made me doubt them a bit more than I should've, but it is a divisional game.

I can wear his jersey again. Got good mileage out of that one!

I'm sad we never made it to the top brother.

How the fuck is Trump leading in the polls

What the fucking fuck are you guys doing
I'm assuming that you are looking at tracking polls?

If so.. Stop Dutch.. it's fine. She still looks to be leading in North Carolina. If he loses that.. he is doubly fucked because he can win everything else (PA, Ohio, Florida) and he still lose.

Now the Senate.. that's still a go.. but it's a little less certain than before.

I always wondered how Romo always got hurt behind that line.

Luck was the highest rated QB when given time just before last week I think.

This past game vs the Chiefs he looked lost and shellshocked, even when given time.

For the large majority of Romo's tenure, the line was trash. They didn't really become a force until 2013. Just look at all of their linemen, their all like 25-26 aside from Free

Why would any receiver want to play for the Eagles? Remember when no WR caught a TD for Kansas City? That was Doug Pederdon. And v watching last week's game, Alshon probably prefers Jay Cutler. They are going to have to draft a WR one of these years.

Ye of little faith

Talking about football is dead because of a Pats-Boys SB

We all know a slapdick Giants team will come in as the 6th seed and run through the playoffs, beating Tamatha in the Owl. The 4 Year Prophecy just got delayed a bit

Agholor is a first round pick

nfl.com's draft analysis has him as the best pick in the NFC east from the 2015 draft class

I heard on Eagles Live this morning that the Eagles longest offensive play was 14 yards. It is impossible to run an offense like that. Even when a WR catches a pass there are 3 guys ready to tackle him because teams are bringing everyone up close to the line. It takes they like 7 or 8 completions to move down the field, they leave themselves no margin for error at all. I really wish that Reich was calling the plays, I dont think Doug was good at it in KC, and he definitely isnt doing good at it here. Try something different, please.

Fucking Comey
Incompetence or Intentional (maybe both at this rate..) I am concerned with the leaks and looks of disarray coming from Langley and so should the administration and I would not be shocked if privately.. he's giving Comey a tongue lashing about this and trying to strong arm him into resigning at least after the election.

They really have to. Something has to change. No way can they expect people to sit through a whole year of every pass being at or behind the line of scrimmage.

I hope they get something done, but this was a season everyone had given up on before the season started. It's not like we have this window that's closing, the window hasn't even opened yet. So I could see going through the rest of this season as is, and then making a big move in the offseason.

They can't move him before the election, "optics" would look awful and people would cry "RIGGED". But he's got to be out before January, the FBI is practically eating itself and it seems a pretty clear violation of the Hatch Act. And I could be remembering wrong, but I don't think intent is required to violate it.

I just worry does having Wentz go out there and run the 3 yards at a time air attack, will it stunt his development at all. I really worry that as teams creep up more and more he will be forced to pass into tighter and tighter windows. I dont want him developing bad habits because the WRs are terrible and the play calling fucking sucks.

I agree, but I really want to see Wentz play with a good receiver, and see how a good receiver really changes this offense. Do our guys really suck or is Doug's play calling a big part of the problem? I want to know that before next year.
