Stupid. It seems like it benefits everyone involved to have a 75 man cut down. Players that aren't going to make the 75 can get another shot somewhere else. Players that are on the roster bubble will get more reps. Teams waste less time on players that they have no interest in keeping.

Why do the owners want this?

Makes sense to me. It gives them more time to evaluate players, more time to keep people around in case of injuries to projected starters. Gives less time to other teams to invest in players that are cut. It's a good pro-ownership move in my view.

Keep in mind they don't have to make one big cut of 90 to 53. Teams can and probably will whittle down before. Just not that deadline for 75.

I'll most def make a team now.

This is a start, but just allow all scoring celebrations within a time limit.
Throw a flag on stupid shit. Like a DB celebrating a dropped pass while down by 20.

I think that's the move they're making. 40 second clock for PAT starts directly after TD is scored. So they can do the celebrations but can't be too long

Just looked at a German Netflix show list for comedy. Not sure how updated it was, but here's some I've seen. Browns gaf seal of approval, so you know it'll be reasonably adequate! Or not.
