He deserves this for what United did to me.

There had been rumblings that all was not well with Gettleman and owner Jerry Richardson stemming from allowing star CB Josh Norman to walk.

I'm sorry friend. You don't deserve this...

lolMike's Hard has a Lite version now.
He should have been fired as soon as the shit with Norman went down. Weird that the let him punt another offseason though before getting rid of him.
Edit: I just saw Mackenzie 92's post, yeah that was such an insane disaster. Big time CBs are so valuable and are super hard to replace.
Greg Olsen and Thomas Davis both looking for long-term contract extensions.
Olsen wants to be paid like a top 3 TE (which to be fair, his production's been at that level the past 3 years) and is willing to hold out for it.
Everything is Awesome!!!
Sometimes you lose players. Even big stars. You can't keep everyone in the salary cap era, that's just how it goes. We resigned KK Short to a long term deal which was obviously the priority. Firing Gettleman over the Norman fiasco makes no sense, especially a year later.
Did they just happen to lose Norman, or did their idiot GM push him out the door?
I'm not surprised Gettleman got fired but the timing makes no sense. Should have just done it at the start of offseason. The Norman thing -was- ridiculous. Being obstinate for the sake of it is not a great way to run a team.
Letting Norman walk out the door for nothing should have been a fireable offense. Looks like it finally caught up to him.
Dude took over a team that was in an absolutely horrid cap situation, hadn't had a winning season in a number of years and they ended up in the Super Bowl and in the playoffs outside of 2016. They won something like 40 games under him.
Telling Josh Norman to fuck of is fine. He should take some shit for not getting SOME value out of Norman but its the role of the GM to determine the value of a player and he did that for better or worse. Mind numbing to see him fired when you see the positives vs the negatives he brought to the equation.
It's ok grova, you still got these handsome men in your life!
D'Onta is out.. the weapon was his and registered to him and the pot was minimal and nothing major. SoAny update on the Texans' draft pick busted with unlawful possession of weapons and stuff?
yeah coffee does that to me tooI had to run to the bathroom for a second.
It appears DeAngleo Williams is not a Gettleman fan...
The 49ers are gonna need a new stadium towards the end of the century:
Or at least need to invest in a good levee system.
Looks like the SF Giants, Oakland A's, and GS Warriors will need new locales too.

It has been 5000 days since the University of Minnesota last beat the University of Wisconsin in football.
Bell should be one of the highest non-QB paid players.

Grover is too busy buying Aaron Judge jerseys.
No deal. This is likely Bell's last year in Pittsburgh. Enjoy the Browns in 2018!

You're right. No team president, no GM, no assistant GM. Camp in 8 days.
Jerry Richardson about to become his own general manager ala Jerruh.
Either that or let Rowboat run the team...
But yeah, I don't think this is solely because of how JNo was handled, but much more an accumulation of friction between owner and GM on how the GM was handling personnel moves. If you're going to summarily ship off players, make sure they aren't the owner's personal favorites. Smith, Williams, Norman...I'm sure he was trying to do the same thing to Davis (and probably lowballed Olsen) and Richardson decided enough was enough. The next GM will probably be another loyal to a fault type like Hurney.
Going right beside my A-Rod Sox jerseys!
