The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
Our first team looked real good last night, even Boller and Kordell were accurate and making good judgments... Chester and Musa ran well again... Receivers were making catches, the defense for the most part was firing on all cylinders... the only part that seemed meh was Jamal... he still hasn't really done much in pre-season. But I feel alot better going in to the starting week now.

I can't believe it's almost here. Can't wait for next Sunday. Charlies gonna be huge. Kevin Jones is gonna rush for 100+ in his first game. And that FUCKING road losing streak is history.

The Lions are gonna blow the Bears out and everyone knows it.

Hahahaha... this man speaks the truth. Amen Amen Amen!

I have the Lions over the Bears in my suicide league. This is the only game I see the Lions as the favorite...and I'm taking a huge chance here. :p

You can't pick the same team for the rest of the season, so I'm taking my chances early and not going with the overwhelming favorite pick of Houston over San Diego. I see the Texans being a favorite later in the year, and not wasting that pick :p

haha we beat vikings without using any of our star players. Trent Dilfer was HOT.

So.....your scrubs are better then our scrubs? That may mean your team has better depth then ours, but otherwise....

Code:
Shaun Hill	14/18	137	7.61	1	0
Gus Frerotte	6/9	59	6.56	0	1
Daunte Culpepper	5/5	92	18.40	1	0
Team	25/32	288	9.00	2	1

So we played our third string QB all game, and didn't use Randy Moss or Michael Bennett?

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NO-PRIZE-DIDN'T-WIN-NOTHIN' VICTORY!

You Lions fans better hope Harrington has figured out how to throw more completions than INTs!

I don't see this changing!

Bears win 30-3.

It already has changed.

Cut pass-dropper extraordinaire Bill Schroeder, cut fellow pass-dropper extraordinaire Mikhael Ricks, replace with 2 outstanding WR prospects (Charles Rogers & Roy Williams) plus a reliable pass-catching TE (Stephen Alexander), move Az Hakim to slot -> completion problem solved

Can't wait for Bear hunting session to begin at Soldier Field on the 12th.

I think my beloved Chiefs are going to get raped by the Bronco's next week. ;(

Our already craptacular defense is marred by injuries. Our 2 middle LB's (Maslowski and Mitchell) are both hurt.. not that we were exactly stuffing the run like crazy last year anyway. So, we'll be plugging Monty Beisel in there.

If you can pull anything out of watching preseason play.. the aggressive defensive style seems to be helping some, but they are getting caught in overpursuit some.

Our WR corps is basically decimated. Kennison returned in week 3 and looked decent last night also, but they are talking like Johnnie Morton may not be back at all. Marc Boerigter went down for the season in the 3rd preseason game, and the new kid Kris Wilson, who they were in love with broke his fibula supposably last night. He wasn't exactly a wideout, more a utility type guy.. ala Dante or something. He was 6'2" 251, so they wanted to line him up all over.. in the backfield, slot, TE, etc. He seemed really good. :\

So, it looks like our opening day starters will be Kennison, and Richard Smith. Yeah, that's right! Richard SMITH! An undrafted Free Agent Rookie wideout. Champ Bailey should have difficulty keeping RICHARD SMITH under control. Watch out folks.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Despite threats of a player boycott stemming from concerns about Hurricane Frances, the Dolphins are still scheduled to play their exhibition finale tonight at New Orleans.

Junior Seau, Olindo Mare, Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor were among the prominent players who adamantly told Dolphins management Thursday they didn't want to play because of the possibility Frances might hit South Florida.

It is believed a sizeable group of players might not arrive this morning for the team's charter flight to New Orleans, which might force the NFL to postpone the game.

The Dolphins' organization strongly pushed to call off the game Thursday but the league office rebuffed it.

Some in team management who experienced the devastation caused by Hurricane Andrew in 1992 believe NFL officials don't understand why the franchise vehemently wants to cancel.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello did not return a telephone call seeking comment.

Go Jags....but....

Leftwich has been AWFUL thus far.

Garrard for life:)

Don't make me hurt you. :) Leftwich has been far from awful - there's been a lot going wrong with our starting offence early in the game that isn't down to him. Penalties have torn us to pieces in particular - how many yards did we lose to them in the Green Bay game? Not just the penalties themselves, but big negated plays.

Overall Leftwich has been looking a lot better than his stats give him credit for, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the full games pan out when it counts, and when we've got a bit more of a shock and awe running game going on.

They pulled Vick out allready after that horrible performance. He is gonna get creamed in the regular season. At least keep him in till he completes a pass.

It seems like the line has a vendetta against Vick. Everytime he's in they play like shit. This can't happened in the regular season. I knew I had reason to fear when we didn't upgrade our line. I sure hope Alex Gibbs can get shit together in a week. :(

Bears lost tonight but the first string defense looks superb! Gonna have to carry us through the beginning of the season until the offense can pick things up! Found this joke on the Chicago Bears message board. Funny!:D

The NFL announced today that for finacnial reasons they had to eliminate one team from the league. So they've decided to combine the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and form one team, therefore saving jobs. They will be known as the TAMPACKS. Unfortunately, they're only good for one period and have no second string. w00t.gif Sorry, given tonights game I figured a little joke might help!

:lol :lol :lol

Arrington and the 'Skins eVICKted the Falcons last night. It was a beautiful night for a football game. Longest first quarter I can remember, 24 points scored (all by the Redskins). Ramsey and the second unit didn't have quite as much success as the starters did, only scoring one field goal. Tim Hasselbeck got some play time in the fourth quarter, and his appearance set up a huge cheer. Seems clear to me that the fans are more in favor of a Brunell/Hasselbeck QB pair.

Anyway the defense did a great job, but man the Falcons just sucked. Two missed field goals too.

I wonder if Vick will be able to get his shit together during the regular season. I think it'd be funny as hell if he were benched in favor of rookie Matt Schaub :lol

let me go out on a limb and say that we're going to blitz the living shit out of vick in week 1. we like to blitz a lot in the first place. i just hope it pays off!

FMT, you realize that the regular season is going to be different story from the preseason. Vick isn't going to sit in the pocket and get hit. Worse comes to worse, Vick will run for his life like he had to do the majority of the 2002 season.

Sorry ass O-Line. :|

and you also realize that we probably have the best linebacking corps in the NFC (possibly in the NFL) right? the only teams that can possibly beat us this year are teams with a big offensive line and teams that like to run a lot with that big line. running QB's will play right into our hands this year: 3-4 defensive with very quick and athletic defensive linemen. i realize vick isn't going to perform as bad as he did in the preseason, but at the same time vick isn't going to beat the 49ers defensive running, that much i am sure of.
