I personally don't have a problem with it in and of itself. The fact that it's being done because of "police brutality" when more blacks died in Chaz in the last few weeks than will likely die by police officer the rest of the year, that is really cringey.

The thinking is if you pander to the Black community enough over 40 years with pats on the back, recognition, job ratios, special grants only for Black kids in schools etc..... the community's morale will be boosted and everyone (including latinos, whites, asians and any other ethnic background) can all strive for success with similar actions without needing artificial government ego boosts, corporate sucking up, or affirmative action kinds of policies.

It's 2020. Still going.

So are they going on rotation across their minority groups? Below are the ones above 10% population.

That would make the most sense, share the love around. There's another 16 heritage groups in USA with below 10% population share each but they should do a rotational thing of all their anthems/causes etc. Go full parade, it would be like the Olympics where each group has their heritage and culture on display. It stops this stupid binary fight of black vs white or black vs everyone else. Just bring equality to the forefront and give each group their own showing on match or weekly rotations building to the finals where full inclusion then has every group together at the end of the season. It makes sense to me and no one gets their panties in a bunch or fights about not having their time to shine solo or be included/excluded overall.
