Game of the week has to be Miami @ Buffalo. I'm thinking of a pulsating game that goes back and forth, ending in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Carolina at Philadelphia, 1:00 pm
Cincinnati at Cleveland, 1:00 pm
Green Bay at Detroit, 1:00 pm
Houston at Tennessee, 1:00 pm
Kansas City at Jacksonville, 1:00 pm
Miami at Buffalo, 1:00 pm
San Diego at Atlanta, 1:00 pm
Seattle at New England, 1:00 pm
San Francisco at N.Y. Jets, 1:00 pm
Washington at Chicago, 1:00 pm
Denver at Oakland, 4:15 pm
Pittsburgh at Dallas, 4:15 pm
Minnesota at New Orleans, 8:30 pm

Monday, Oct. 18
Tampa Bay at St. Louis, 9:00 pm

Open date: Arizona, Baltimore, Indianapolis, N.Y. Giants

I'm not going anywhere near the Aints, but I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Vikings, that's how retarded they are.

San Diego over Atlanta is my upset special, if you would consider that an upset. Atlanta were exposed today. Provided LT is good to go, I can see him carving through this allegedly good Atlanta defense like a buzzsaw. I'm not going near Washington with a 50 foot pole.

EDIT - I've changed two tips on the eve of the games - going with Detroit and Tennessee now.

I'm a bit nervous about my New England and San Diego tips.

Nothing was exposed, we loss the game on turnovers and poor offensive execution. Our defense still played solid like they have been all season. We are going to be fired up after this loss and there's a pretty good chance the D is going to take it out on LT.

The Steelers need this week. Going into a bye at 5-1 would be great, especially seeing as though we get hit by the Pats and Eagles coming out of it. And then Jacksonville and the Jets aren't far behind. Post bye week isn't going to be pretty.

I agree but man Vick is killing me in Fantasy football :(

The Bills aren't as bad as their record suggests.

At the very least they should be 2-2, if not 3-1. Of course, if they lose against Miami I will rant and complain until my throat is sore.

Though that's now twice I've clicked my own thread. Two sacks on Bledsoe! Man that Bills O-line sure does suck.

man your making me cry...I look forward to the Bills season are year long and this is how they thank loyal fans, by fucking us up the ass with "smash mouth" football. What a bunch of bullshit. If the Bills lose this week expect someone to be fired. Ralph is pissed. Hopefully TD, and Mularkey. TD is looking more likely and Mularkey not so much because somehow he managed a 5 year contract. Fucking TD what an asshole. Losman is looking like he is now going to cost the bills the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft.

I seriously expect Buffalo to beat Miami. Buffalo are too talented to lose to the Dolphins. Then again they were too talented to lose to Jacksonville and Oakland....and probably the Jets too.

I fucking hate it when seasons are over just after they've started.

But at least we know how Redskins fans feel. :D

Does Vick have trade value in Fantasy Football? I'm looking to get rid of him for maybe a RB or WR. Any takers? And to think i took Vick with my first round pick...the other option would have been Rudi Johnson.

I wonder if Hodge is holding on to his belief that the Redskins are "still the best team in the NFC East".

..the Hall of Fame coach has a pathetic, unimaginative offense despite the most expensive roster in NFL history.

"I just remember being miserable," Gibbs said when asked about the 0-5 start [in 1981 as a rookie head coach]. "And I'd say this is every bit as miserable.

The biggest disappointments are big-money signings Mark Brunell and Clinton Portis. The Redskins gave the two players contracts totaling $93.5 million -- and traded four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey to get Portis -- but neither player appears to be worth the money or the accompanying salary cap problems they'll create down the road.

From ESPN's Daily Quickie today..

Both Miami QBs will sit for "Someone's Gotta Win" game vs. equally winless Buffalo, leaving starting to ... Sage Rosenfels, who EVERYONE is rooting for.

....At this point he could be an improvement.

Oh great....Tons of nice matchups at 1 pm....but then only 2 games at 4, and they're both shitty. Oh well, I guess I'll watch Denver. Ugh.

SEA@NE will be the game of the week, followed by CAR@PHI or SD@ATL. Dammit, they're all at 1.

I only see two good early games, Pats/Hawks and Eagles/Panthers. The rest are straight up pick'em games with one even featuring two winless teams. Houston/Tennessee might be mariginally interesting if the Thumbtacks are really on the upswing and weren't just lucky in running into a Packers team that's ready for implosion.

I don't know...San Diego is a very interesting team all of a sudden, and that game could be worth watching. Then again, you're a Steelers fan, no wonder I don't agree. :lol

What's wrong with it? You get to see the NFC west champs on display. :D
But it should be a good game, the rams-bucs is still a very good rivalry.

Well, actually, I tend to think the Chargers will win it. But aside from seeing if Vick is actually going to be a real QB at some point, I don't see any real compelling reason to watch that game. Two "could be" teams aren't as exciting as the other two matchups at 1.

I agree with my MNF rival for this week. Bucs and Rams = great games with lasting memories.

And some o' you might wanna change that pick from St. Louis to TB.... ;)

Oh, I agree. And that's why it's the third game I'll be flipping to...which is to say it won't get much airtime on my TV. I just wish there was one game I cared about at 4. Honestly, I think the Steelers will crush the Cowboys, and as a Ravens fan, I don't want to see that. The other matchup looks boring, but unless I want to watch the Steelers game, and root against them, I'll go with Jake the snake.

I'm kinda surprised at how many people have jumped on the Chargers bandwagon. I thought my pick was going to be weird, but it's practically the concensus.

Yeah TB is so awesome. that QB of theirs, brad johnson, i mean chris simms, i mean brian griese, he's lighting it up this year. And those stud WRs they got, mccardell, oops i mean.....? And charlie garner, he really scares me lol. Bucs only chance is with their D.

I knew the Chargers had a serious offense/special teams, I just didn't think that their defense could keep up. Having seen them score 28 on the Jets, I thought they looked real good and should steal a few away. Glad they are 3-2, good for them.

I think it has more to do with the Falcons offense sucking all kinds of balls than it does with the Chargers. Just a guess.

We will see how much our offense sucks against that great Chiefs defense. People are making a grave mistake thinking our offense will play like that every week.

Well, I don't know about "crushing" the cowboys. Certainly if Duce and the running game keep up the good work, that's a big plus in their favor agianst a Dallas D now very suspect against the run. The really big ? will be how the Steeler D handles the passing game. And I never want to underestimate Parcells' preparation factor. Really, with the Steelers having the bye coming up and then two huge games agianst Pats and Eagles, this Dallas game can turn into a trap game. Hopefully I'm wrong, we'll see.

I think the Vikings/Aints game has some serious shootout potential. I remember the Colts/Aints SNF matchup last season, and the way the Vikes offense is playing, they might even score more points than the Colts did.

If Buffalo lose to Miami, I move for them to be kicked out of the NFL.

And yes right now the Falcons offense does suck. Once Vick is taken off the leash though things will improve, and I'm still penning Atlanta in as division winners simply because there's no-one else!

Also I'd like to give some props to 3-2 San Diego, it's probably the whole underdog getting up thing, but I'm happy for them. That powder blue.....

Actually, for the 3 Quarters of play Griese has, he IS lighting it up. I'd fear Pittman more than Garner, he's actually running well. How you're gonna be scared of a guy on injured reserve, I dunno. The WR corps is hurtin' though. :(

Bucs only chance is with their D? DUH. It's been like that for almost a decade....yet, that's allowed them to steamroll your Rams since 99, yes? :p

EDIT: For clarification, were you joking? Cause I was originally.

All right! After healing in the bye week, our march to the playoffs begins against the Deadskins! Urlacher is back. Hillimeyer moved to the strong side. Azumah is healthy. Our defense and kick return game just got much stronger. Kreutz will be back too. Our Oline just got healthier. I predict a 27-3 blowout. Redskins have no chance. The Joe Gibbs reunion tour takes another huge blow this week.

Your offense does suck dude, admit it. The only way to get it clicking is to let Vick run wild like he did on us.

My point being, an offense that sucks doesn't rank #1 in no offensive category. I would say our offense is inconsistent and suspect.

Falcons rank #23 in overall offense. If they have the #1 rushing offense tthrough the first 5 weeks of the season... Then what does that say for Vick and their passing game? Oh, I know! It says they have the #31 ranked passing game in the NFL!
