I am slightly hopeful that Bolland might have a positive impact on Clarkson. They're on the same line, have a somewhat similar playstyle, and grew up in the same part of Toronto. There might be some potent chemistry there.
Anything that might improve Clarkson's contribution will be a significant improvement to the team, overall.
