That's why I hate when they "let them play" because all it does is allow blatant stuff to slip through and then there's always some penalty that would be borderline even in a tightly called game and a team gets a powerplay. There's never any rhyme or reason and all it does is remove any skill since people can hook and trip as they please to stop goals.

Yeah, I'm on the anti "let them play" side. To me, it's just rewarding the team that can commit the most penalties. I definitely agree with you.
