I didn't see it, but going by Rangers fans here, I'm can safely assume Byfuglien pulled a Sub-Zero like fatality and ripped out a Ranger's player's spine and showed it to the crowd.

Sorry Canucks fans, after watching that play the refs kinda got it right? Burrows definitely skated into the dudes head on purpose when he wasn't looking, and bieskla deserves a misconduct for skating up and chirping a guy prone on the ice.

I'd argue Buffs penalty at the end if the game was dumber and actually worse. He was just mad he got turned around in the eventual gwg and decided to do that thing where he slashes and punches a guy until the refs make him stop.

I don't know man, I have to disagree with you on this one. He puts his weight into it and gets him right in the exposed spot on the back of the neck. Incredibly dangerous. Look at the way his head just snaps back.
I don't know about the penalty at the end that you're referring to though, it could have been worse. All I've seen is the linked video.

As a new fan of ice hockey, I'm not sure what you guys are used to. But shit like that doesn't belong in any sport as far as I am concerned. Miller isn't involved with the puck and is just rising up from a lying on the ice, and Byfuglien launches his full weight on his stick right into the neck on an unsuspecting Miller. Aside from the unnecessarity of the cross check, the place where he strikes Miller is the worst part in my opinion. I'm no doctor, but the worst case scenario I picture in my head is Miller never walking ever again.
As for the penalty he got on Zucca, it was definitely not worse. Looked like a scene out of Lord of the Rings though. Kept waiting for Sam to rescue Zucca from the big mean orc.
Incorrect, according to the refs it was very excusable! Like it never happened almost.
Yeah that should have probably been a major probably, even if the guy wasn't hurt.

Rangers' magic number to clinch the Metro division is now 4. The win tonight guaranteed that they will hold the tiebreaker over both the Islanders and the Penguins even if they tied in points. The Isles cannot catch up in ROW. The Penguins can do no better than matching the Rangers' ROW, but the Rangers were 3-0-1 against the Penguins this season and thus own the tiebreaker.
