unnecessary spinning in combat: the movie !

it looks like if the film makers discovered a super obscure copycat game of mortal kombat from the 90s, and instead of playing it they decided to make a movie out of it.

Honestly, this looks amazing lol.

It's from b-movie martial arts directors, but they're embracing that and just going all in on making something fun. And Nicolas Cage steals every scene he's in during that trailer. A lot of martial arts b-movies could probably learn from this and hire actual solid actors that are not exactly in their prime to help elevate the acting.

Nic Cage has become a parody at this point. Can't take him seriously one bit.

you haven't been paying attention to Nicolas Cage then. He has been absolutely killing it lately.

Mandy was the best film of 2018, imo.

Color Out of Space is one of the better horror movies of 2019

y'all talking shit about Nicolas Cage need to educate yourself. Mandy, in particular, is fucking phenomenal. Nicolas Cage recently made the decision to start doing weird ass fucking movies and it is working out fantastically.

That Mandy trailer looks very interesting, reminds of 80's cult movies.

the movie is ridiculously good and offers an absurd amount of fun

you're into those sort of films, you'd prob dig the director

this was the film he did before Mandy

you can do a free one week trial of Shudder through Amazon prime and watch it for free

good timing to do the trial anyways since we are in October

Color Out of Space is on there too

What time is it?
Jaa's career started off so strong...

Much like Sandler being in Uncut Gems, Cage being in Mandy doesn't mean seeing a movie with him in it is going to be quality when the opposite is far more likely to be true.

what does that have to do with my post?
Commenting on how his movies aren't the large box offices draw they once were. I can't comment on Mandy because I haven't watched it, but if you're adamant about it's quality then I'll take your word for it.

give it a watch dude

not only will you likely enjoy it, you’ll immediately understand why it doesn’t have a large box office draw

Not gonna pretend I'm too good for this. It's actually too good for me. Take away Cage's VO and it's buttoned up serious. Needs to be trashier. Needs more crazy. Fatman, now that's the stuff.

Yeah Nic Cage is the only actual stage presence in that trailer. Jaa doesn't even have the physical aura he use to have... Frank Grillo is cool but doesn't seem important here.
