This weekend my wife and I wore kimono to Ueno park for hanami and were interviewed by a Nippon Telebi (Channel 4) crew. We'll be on tonight between 6:30 and 7. Being drunk on national TV...

That rocks! The only time I got to be on TV was during the Hadaka Matsuri Naked Man's Festival... drunk, same as you, wearing that ridiculous sumo outfit running around [practically] naked.

What were you interviewed about... just flower viewing?

Yeah, the questions were pretty low-key: Where are you from? Do you like Japan? Do you like hanami? Why are you wearing kimono? Do you like kimono?

I have a feeling we're going to look piss-drunk, because during the entire interview we're sipping on chu-hi and snacking on pasta salad.
