Excellent.

Though The Fragile is one of my favorite NIN albums, I'd like to see something that's one disc and hard-hitting, not this sprawling concept-album business.

We'll never see the likes of Broken again, but a man can dream.

Oh about time! Nice stuff. *queues up pretty hate machine* Can't believe that album's older than some GAFFer's here. ;)

I concur wholeheartedly. I've enjoyed all of the NIN releases overall, but Broken/Fixed remain my absolute favorites.

Broken is, indeed, clearly his best work and likely to remain that way. It rates maybe an 11 on the Vengeance Scale.

Broken was my second NIN experience; first being PHM on cassette. I'm a huge NIN fan/collector so I have everything, some in multiple formats.

I would have to say, though, that Downward Spiral is his best achievement. (TDS deluxe edition is coming out next month, it's kind of like that Weezer deluxe edition, but on SACD/CD hybrid).

Some song names that may or may not be on the record (this is from interviews, nin.com updates, various mentionings since "bleedthrough" was announced)

- With Teeth (obviously the title track)
- The Line begins to blur
- Premonition
- My Dead Friend
- One
- Bleedthrough

I think there were more, but I forgot. I wouldn't be surprised if only a few, if any (besides with teeth which is pretty much a given) made it on to the album since trent is always changing his damn mind.

Still is my favorite. But uh, Halo 18? I assume that is either the new SACD or the closure dvd? Probably the SACD.

Yeah he said the feeling on the album changed so the name didn't fit anymore a couple weeks ago.

Halo 18 will be a single for the new album.
Halo 19 will be the new album.

SACD is "Halo 8DE", Closure DVD will still be halo 12.

Great to finally have a date on this thing. I've never been too huge on NIN, but I like them enough to be excited. Honestly, I think Reptile is the best song they've done. It's really up there on my favorite songs ever list.

Also, if it's still happening. +10 for Grohl drumming on the album.

Made all the better that there are quilted pillows in the background.. if that was intentional man, you are a freaking genius.

I would show my collection as well, but it's pretty much the same as above. (The booklet in front I don't recall.) My only real cool NIN thing is that I have a copy of Broken with the 2nd disc. It's a pain in the ass in terms of listening to those two tracks, (iPod to the rescue), but it's my only semi-rare thing.

As for the album title.. I am.. well undecided. My first thought was that it wasn't actually an album title, but more of an atitude. If you take the title in conjunction with the rest of the update in which Trent Reznor mainly says 'fuck all we are gonna get this shit out and it's gonna rock', I thought the 'With Teeth' was more a comment on how the last couple of releases have been mellower. (Although Fragile is still my favorite with Broken coming in a very close second.)

If its the actual album title, I guess it's cool. I just can't wait for the photoshop of the NIN logo fading into teeth. And of course, the title totally depends on how the music is. I recall a bunch of people bitching and moaning about the song titles for the Fragile saying how they didn't 'sound' like NIN tracks.

Yes, I still can't believe PHM was an 80s album. It still sounds just as good now. The Fragile, I didn't like so much when it was released but only just these past few month I really began to understand it and now songs like Please, No You Don't, and Where Is Everybody are some of my favorite songs of all time. So the news of "With Teeth" being an album with no clutter really excites me.

March seems like a long ways away, yet with the holidays it will be right around the corner.

oh noez demi has posted my secret image what

it's outdated though, I have a lot more shit. The pillows aren't quilted, lmao, they're just fancy pillow covers.

OK, so where is this? I found the DualDisc (DVD-A) but not the Deluxe Edition. Was it cancelled? I looked in 3 different music stores and none of them had it on their release lists.

btw - the DualDisc surround mix rocks. Hell, the 2-channel mix sounds great too.

I used to have a CRAPLOAD of NIN stuff, but I've since moved on from that point in my life. For my money, The Downward Spiral was his best album, although Broken and the first three tracks on Fixed were his most intense. The Fragile was outstanding, though I got the impression it was largely overlooked at the time.

I hope the new album does well for Trent, but I'm definitely concerned that the musical landscape might have passed him by a little.

Do you have the original pressing of Broken with the extra track?

I don't have the one with the 3 inch disc or longbox case, but "physical" and "suck" are on every copy of Broken in one way or another.
