Yeah I was pretty mad Tetsuya went in this direction. I would've prefered another style.

Oh well pretty underwhelming day for MS. Gears of War looked very nice though.

The Xbox 360 is getting all this Japanese support...But it's not full. Mist Walker and Q are both going to be very powerful developers, but they're Xbox 360 titles could possibly be tarnished by these other developers.

It's the other way round. Mizuguchi is producing and designing this title so he probably wanted a big war game and what better studio to partner with than one which has already done such games? Makes sense to me.

This is why MS needs Japanese developers. This is also why Sony will probably crush MS next generation. This is the first game I've seen that would make me consider the 360.

It's wierd though, the video doesnt look anything like the screenshot, its got a lot of more detail and the characters are all different.

edit: the high quality version of the footage from ruliweb confirms (imo) that this is all FMV (or more "expected results" ) footage.

I wouldn't really be surprised to see more dev / studio collaborations in the coming Gen. The industry is restructing itself and to keep costs down it makes sense to find dev's that are good at certain things and pair them up with dev's that are better at others. 2 small studios working together has less overhead than one gigantic company.
