I'm just now getting into Ninja Gaiden (2004 version). I'm getting close to the end of normal mode and would like to try one of the harder modes next. However, today's my last chance to cancel my Live subscription before it gets rebilled. I barely use Live at all anymore, so aside from playing the Hurricane Packs it doesn't serve a lot of purpose for me right now. Is it worth it to pay another $50 so I can play the Hurricane Packs, or does Black have everything I would really need?

Black has the hurricane packs included + extra bonus content. They need to be unlocked though.

Beat the game on normal in Ninja Gaiden first. Because then the first Hurricane pack will be unlocked right away on Black (Hard difficulty) as Black will read your Ninja Gaiden save. If you try to start a new game in Black without finishing Ninja Gaiden it'll make you start on Normal mode which is what you are playing now.

Thanks for the info. I guess if I'm not using Live anyway, $30 NG Black is better than a $50 Live subscription.
