Ninja Gaiden - Miniboss Medley LIVE

I like both the Minibosses and the NESkimos... although a slight edge goes to the former because they have ties to the Amherst/Northampton area of Massachusetts, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from me.

I do have to say, though, that the NESkimos version of Mega Man 2's Wood Man BGM kicks ass. Period.

holy SMOKES! check out this tune at the top of the page I last linked
metroid: norfair tenement blues

It is an actual pop/rock/electronica like song, with lyrics, based off the Norfair theme in Metroid.
SICK!

here's the lyrics:
metroid: norfair tenement blues

arriving with confidence
after countless stretches of time
heady with pleasant sensations
sweet proximity
armor integrity percentage holding at 95

no one ever made reference to
or acted as if they knew of
or winked at each other surreptitiously
about the creatures that rule this envious land

'infestations can be dealt with'
i think to myself as i grit my teeth
determined to take back this land
where the lava glows and warms the worthy

armor integrity percentage has dropped to 61

jealousy, bitterness, loneliness and anger
all will fuel me now as the rest falls away
save me, save me
save me, save yourself

one and two and through and through
i chant to myself
as my missiles track inand i'm already reloading
and now i've taken hundreds of them
but i hear the slithering of thousands more
and pummeled with fear and awash with regret
i drop to one knee and lower my head
and armor integrity at 9 percent now

rage and fear and doubt and avarice
pain and hate and sweat and fury
pettiness, loss and insecurity
all will fuel me now as the rest falls away
save me, save me
save me, save yourself

Minibosses got the best version of Contra. I'm surprised Konami hasnt done anything to this great tune; while they spend tons of cash on Castlevania crap (there are great ones out there but not all).

Haha, no. THIS is a Ninja Gaiden arrangement:

The Minibosses suck. I have no respect for a band that doesn't improve at all in 5 freaking years.

I might give you that. I have noticed the same. I would expect them to be SUPER tight after all that time. But they still have a sort of rough jam/garage feel. I wonder if it is intentional.

Reminder, check out norfair tenament blues at this link:
