Has anyone else noticed NOA's new press site?
Registering...
Publication or Company : NeoGAF :/
I don't understand this secrecy with the PRs.
Has there ever been a Direct on Saturday before? Usually they occur on Thursday mornings, but there have been a few exceptions in the past. I think they might surprise us with a Mewtwo announcement and have the update go live on the weekend so everybody has an opportunity to download it. I mean, Club Nintendo is dead on March 31st, so logic dictates that it must happen soon, right? And judging by the lack of Virtual Console games coming to Japan, maybe we'll be getting N64 games sooner than we thought.
Sony keeps their press site under guard because they upload assets ahead of time and prior to an embargo lift. It's not just press releases that they are concerned with.
Or, maybe they'll do a secret Nintendo Press Direct.

If I'm not mistaken didn't it used to be guest accounts were only during E3 (usually golin/harris).No guest anymore?

Aw, what? You have to register to see the press releases now? Dang, guess we have to rely on L~A to post it for now on.

But they require the company you work for & position, & I'm not really the type to lie about that type of stuff.Or... you could take 30 seconds and sign up. My account was already approved.
Unless it's a big improvement over the first, $10 is a bit too steep. The first, while serviceable is extremely bare bones.Excave II is also next week for $10
Bought
Edit: Looks like tomorrow, the Wii U VC title is Namco Museum (GBA). Then next week, Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures finally hits.
Already?! I haven't even touched the first one yet!Excave II is also next week for $10

Has anyone else noticed NOA's new press site?
Surprised they didn't mention Story of Seasons on Tuesday.
I registered.
Doubt I'll get in, but I do have a tech website I run with a few other GAFers. Plus I have an email addy from the site. Maybe that will help.
I just used my yahoo address and listed "neogaf" as my website and I got in
I still haven't seen a 3DS theme that didnt come off as too busy.

Just a little lopsided there. :[
The list of games that both regions lag Japan in is too long and depressing to post. And it's filled with Square Enix and TG16 games.
I use this one, which I think manages to be not too busy. Nice sign at the top for the logos, just a pattern on the bottom.
Unlike the image, I don't leave gaps, which helps too.

Right, we know Nintendo has a gigantic backlog of finished VC games to dripfeed and we also know internally that Adelman & Co. always viewed VC as directly competitive with indies and so they throttle one to advantage the other. And eShop titles is totally opposite. Japan obtains few and America a lot.
I think Nintendo searchs a balance.
How long did it take?
I got an email back saying they got my info, and it said they would get back to me if approved.
I still haven't seen a 3DS theme that didnt come off as too busy.
