Nintendo Downloads - November 2012

I don't know what's holding publishers like Ubisoft and SEGA to release full games on eShop. I mean, lame companies like Maximum games and Gamelion have already put their games on eShop. Are there some license issues? I don't think there are, Rayman Origins is on Vita PSN already and Sega allstars Racing is coming soon.

The Crew's Quarters is the worst puzzle in the game and I don't know why they put it in the demo. So much jumping from room to room and sticking random numbers wherever they'll fit. Such a poor choice.

Well, it's not exactly random. Used to classic point&click adventures, everything made sense at the very first attempt and there was barely no "where the fuck should I input this". It's just... I guess it could get pretty ridiculous later on with the kind of puzzles you have to write stuff down filling a whole sheet of paper and then squeeze your brains around it, which ends up boring me to death and I finally leave the game for impossible.

VLR demo was cool, but If this was one of the first areas in easy mode, I'm really afraid that the puzzles might get convoluted enough later on to end up being extremely frustrating and eventually boring... I guess I'll wait for a discounted price, sadly.
If it's like 999, you will get plenty of hints after enough unsuccessful attempts. Your partners will, eventually, almost spell out the solution for you. Also, the puzzles stay the same in easy and hard mode, your partners just don't give you hints in the latter.
You should play 999 first if you haven't. You can buy it on Play Asia or Video Games Plus. VLR can be enjoyed as a standalone experience but you will get more out of it if you play 999 first, at least that's what those who completed VLR say.

Heh, so the tradition of terrible Zero Escape demos continues. When I tried the flash one for 999 I really disliked it. If it weren't for GAF praising it so much I never would have bought it.

I hope with the WiiU on the horizon, they keeps the prices that way if they are so serious about Downloadable games.
I had to use the Canadian eShop to buy both Layton and Paper Mario, but I would rather pay in R$ withount IOF and other taxes.
I have no hopes for first party titles, so I hope the Canada trick still works.

Also, you pay IOF in the Brazil eShop too because it's still an international purchase, even if it's charged in Reais. But it's still cheaper than the Canada eShop, where you have to pay 5% Canadian tax. The Canadian dollar is also slightly more expensive than the US dollar.

Confirmed Wii U stuff for Sunday.

Weren't NG3RE and Nano Assault also confirmed?

Rayman Legends demo!? AWWWW SHIIIIT

It's probably just going to be the same one available at retail kiosks though :(

I always love going through a stack of codes and racking in the coins. Nintendo is one of the few companies that actually makes me feel like a valued customer. Loved taking that last 10 coin survey to get my gold status. :)

Anyway, my status for the platinum reward (Zelda poster set) was listed as being accepted on July 8th. Now it's late November. What should I do, or is this wait normal?

Wow after almost 2 years of software development, we're only getting one WiiU Ware game at launch? Hopefully we'll at least have one or two more by the end of the year. I guess thats better than zero titles though. I don't think WiiWare was offered on the Wii until a year or so after launch

I'm pretty sure that's an incomplete list. We've heard many reports from developers themselves that their games will be there day 1 or at least within the first week or two.

Does a Rayman Legends demo mean the title is coming out soon? I was under the impression it was next year. Haven't been following real closely though since I'm not getting the system just yet.

I assumed this already, but it's still good to see Little Inferno and NSMBU being up there officially, as those are my two day-one purchases.

From that PR in the TVii thread

strong launch-day lineup of downloadable digital-only games, including Little Inferno from Tomorrow Corporation, Trine 2™: Director's Cut from Frozenbyte, Chasing Aurora from Broken Rules, Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition from WayForward and Nano Assault NEO from Shin'en.

Updated, and still obviously incomplete list. It includes only 100% confirmed stuff, guys.

Did we know that Wii U was getting a Youtube app?
Video on Demand: In the coming weeks, an array of favorite movies and TV shows will become available to Wii U owners on Amazon Instant Video and to Hulu Plus and Netflix subscribers. These services will also be accessible from Nintendo TVii. Wii U owners will also be able to watch YouTube videos and channels through the YouTube application, as well as sign in to their account and control the application with the GamePad. Wii U owners who have connected their systems to the Internet will receive a notification as each video application becomes active.

Awesome! Plan on getting Little Inferno, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, and Nano Assault Neo at launch. Can't wait.

Has anybody said anything about which 3rd party titles will be available on eShop on day one? I'm thinking about having a digital archive.

My wallet, cry it will.

Whaaaaa?

That makes no sense at all.

The only sense is that you'll have to buy them again on the Wii U eShop. But hey, you'll play it on the Gamepad.

No, seriously, this could be a reason :lol

Ok gaf, because I don't know for sure if DKC 1,2,3 will be on Wii U and after DKCR I really want to play them, which one should I buy? Unfortunately, I can't buy all of them... So, which one is probably the best?

I really hope that they will return sometime... I am really disappointed right now...

DKC 2 is easily the best of the bunch.

2.

1 is bland and 3 is awful (boss spoilers.)

2, without a doubt

I am super stoked about the Yoot Saito game that L5 mentioned on Facebook. I'm sure I've probably ready about it on GAF before but I'd forgotten about it if I had. At $5, holy crap, talk about a must buy for me.
