I wanted to kill those people. I think I did, too. It might explain that smell from my basement...
Juice said:I can't say that I think it looks much better than the GBA ones tho... you think it does?
Juice said:I thought CotM was pretty fun, but I'm really confused why so many people have such a hard one for this game. is there any reason beyond it just being the next Metroidvania? Like some detail or point about the game that makes it more interesting than a straight GBA sequel of Aria of Sorrow would have been?
I'm genuinely curious.
Amir0x said:Well, I genuinely loved Circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow. I also think Symphony of the Night is one of the greatest games ever made. In that same hand, then, I see an extremely high amount of promise in this title. It is "metroidvania", and Metroidvania is fuck awesome and always has been. And people who played it have said it's awesome! So that's enough for my uber anticipation.
Juice said:Okay, that's all I was wondering. Didn't know Metroidvania was so popular.
Juice said:I think it's a bit addicting myself--being able to level up your little badass dracula hunter and whatnot. But what bugged the hell out of me was the ease with which you could overlevel (even accidentally if you got inordinately lost or kept missing a jump that sent you four floors down) and then stay overleveled for the rest of the game and breeze through it. Doesn't that mean that the formula is fundamentally a bit broken... are they doing anything to fix it in this one as far as you know?
