Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Huge opportunity for third party shops. At least it would be, if anyone cared enough about the Wii-U and if Nintendo hadn't ported nearly every worthwhile game to Switch already.

Just got mine out of storage and it's like new. Being able to play gamecube, wii and wii u games on the gamepad is such a great experience. The display is not nearly as bad as I remember. Quite vibrant and high enough res actually.

Check it out! From today:

On my tiny patch of wall, I have essentially the entirety of Nintendo's history without any software emulation. :)

My Wii U is still working well, I hope it stays like this for a long time as I really like this console.

My thumbsticks are all yellow and sticky. Dont know if it still works. Just bring those Zelda remasters to Switch damnit!

Enthusiast and collector market. A failed Nintendo console becomes quite the collectible over time. See Virtual Boy.

Yeah I really, really wish I hadn't sold my VB. I was hoping not to repeat the mistake with Wii U but now I realize both the system and games go bad just by sitting there. So...that's cool.

You're right, devil's third really needs a to be saved
That game was hilarious fun. Played it from beginning to end. There's nothing wrong with a little jank when you're watching heads pop off like champagne corks (100% true) using the sniper rifle. 😆

I was being completely serious, sort of,
Mediocre plus bland and generic, who cares
Mediocre plus absolutely insane, those games are worth keeping

This is pissing me off as I invested a lot in my wii u back in 2013,zelda wind waker edition, special and collector editions of quite a few games and now I feel like it's just going to rot away and all be worthless.such a shame.

I tested it a couple of months back and it's still fine. I also took the higher efficiency battery out of gamepad and unplugged the plug cable thing people were saying to do but I feel like it needs to be plugged in 24/7 to keep it alive.WTF..

Why is it called NAND when those are MMC and eMMC-chips?

I thought that the categories would be
  • NOR-,
  • NAND-,
  • MMC-,
  • eMMC-
flash?

No. The battery wears out and then the disc drive doesn't spin and save data doesn't work. I remember it's like a watch battery. Had to buy one on eBay and then Saturn started working like new again
The battery wearing out has nothing to do with the disc drive not spinning. A Saturn without battery plays games perfectly fine.
