I've been watching it because I've been waiting to do a system transfer, and I didn't want to risk trying to do it during any maintenance. Once 6PM rolled by, the maintenance was delayed until 8PM, and once 8PM hit, it was pushed back further to 10PM, and then 1AM... And I woke up to see that it's still ongoing, supposedly until 10AM PDT, if it's not just bumped further back yet again... I wonder what's up with that? Maybe it's for Nintendo Badge Arcade?

Anyway, does anyone know if it's safe to perform a system transfer? I don't really feel like waiting longer... The eShop is up and everything, so I imagine it should be fine, but it still worries me...

Yeah, I ended up just doing it before the maintenance was over anyway, I figured it should be safe. I just worry a lot when it comes to system transfers, because I have so much data at risk. =P

nintendo.co.jp/netinfo/en_US/ has always existed, nintendo.com/consumer/network/en_na/network_status.jsp is the link you access from Nintendo of America's support website but it just embedded the former page's content – and since this content changed it probably broke the integration. So using the nintendo.co.jp pages always seems better, they're translated anyways:
