amazing to hear the short dev time and team size for brain training.antispin said:LOL @ the translator going from neutral to 6th gear when Kojima was on screen -- the translator couldn't keep up with his quicksilver speech! good viewing in all.
interestingly -- the Brain Training game for the DS (or was it the other variant?) took only 10 devs at its peak development cycle and was completed in about 4 months counting 2 holiday seasons. very impressive: minimal effort, max sales.
finally, nintendo is keenly aware in retaining and further challenging what it calls "veteran" gamers and iwata's keynote talked about how the entire pointer+analog stick setup can sit in a traditional shell, such that past titles and third-party software can both be enjoyed.

Is this the graph you mean?Mihail said:The graph of the declining hardware sales rate shows that much of the industry's so-called growth is inflated and based on hype. Industries such as that are not healthy, as has been shown numerous times in history.
I don't know but Nintendo's press release linked to it.Smiles and Cries said:thanks for the links this is cool

DID YOU KNOW? WEBCAST OF ‘REVOLUTION'-ARY NINTENDO KEYNOTE ADDRESS IS NOW AVAILABLE
Sept. 16, 2005
A webcast of Nintendo President Satoru Iwata's keynote address at the Tokyo Game Show on Friday is now available. To view the English translation of the speech, log onto www.irwebcasting.com/050916/03/index.html.
During the speech, Iwata for the first time introduced the controller for Nintendo's next home video game console, code-named Revolution. Nintendo breaks with more than 20 years of video game history by abandoning the traditional controller held with two hands and introducing an all-new freehand-style unit held with one hand. When picked up and pointed at the screen, the controller provides lightning-quick interaction, sensing motion, depth, positioning and targeting dictated by movement of the controller itself.
miyuru said:I'm always happy to hear people like Kojima praising Revolution but really it doesn't mean much to me. It's ALL moneyhats in the end people, don't get your hopes up so much.
Even this past gen, didn't Kojima praise Nintendo's philosophies etc.? Seriously, it means jack shit.

1. launching with an FPS.
2. the controller really is "the bomb" for FPS genre.
how is it going to demo in stores?
But, but, but, Metroid Prime is an FPA.Cheebs said:Metroid Prime 3.

DrGAKMAN said:Who were the other 2 developers (besides Kojima) who talked about the Revolution?
i don't think dragon's quest would go to revolution, but i believe yuji hori is working on something for revolution. kojima also. they wouldn't be in the speech, especially on video, vindicating the new interface.God's Hand said:Whatever happened with that Dragon Quest rumor from a few days ago? Why would anyone believe DQ would come to Revolution...
What ever became of the rumor that id was making an exclusive FPS for the Rev?catfish said:I think Nintendos fate in America rests on 2 things:
