Nintendo Spain just posted about a contest that uses the hashtag #LargaVidaa3DS (long live 3DS). So I don't think they're completely ditching it once the Switch is out.

Yeah, they're basically saying 3DS is not done yet, which makes sense.

Interesting. First clear look we get of the game cards. Guess this confirms red system title banner. I assume actual box arts will feature something very similar.

Edit: To put things into perspective, here's the 3DS and DS. Notice that the banner designs are near identical on both the carts and boxes (though they do differ in orientation).

I think we could see the new 3D Mario title. I mentioned in some other thread that since Pokemon Go helped boost sales of Sun and Moon so much, that I would expect Nintendo to leverage Super Mario Run in a similar way. They would want to maximise the benefit from it, by releasing a new Mario title some time afterwards i.e. as a Switch launch title.

Plus, the fact that we saw it in the original Switch trailer is pretty telling. I would expect to see all of those games at launch:

Breath of the Wild
Skyrim: Special Edition
NBA 2K17
3D Mario
Splatoon
MarioKart 8
+ other 3rd party games

I think they will reveal other titles coming to the system, but I don't expect to see them at launch.

Basically since the Wii U was a flop, they will want to bring out the big guns for this at launch. Also, since they are only technically needing to support one system, I think they could easily launch with the above titles and still have plenty of other titles in the pipeline.

I'm gonna have to call BS on that 4chan rumor. Capcom's already busy enough between SFV Season 2 & MvCI, I doubt they would have time for a SFII port with new sprite-based content. Don't forget, Sony still owns the assets for SFV, so Capcom would have to start from zero for this SFII remake.

As mentioned earlier, SFV's assets are still owned by Sony since they paid for the creation of said assets.
