I sure hope it's nothing like Yoshi's Story 2 if it shows up...

Maybe this game makes use of the camera. Maybe.
madara said:Wooa! We did? Which one are refering to as being platformer? Was that mario vs donkey kong gba game?
For a game we know nothing about and only have a really rough translation of the title? I'll save judging it for later. I'm just pleased that Nintendo is clearly continuing to support the GBA.JC10001 said:Can I get a "meh"?

Yea yea, apples to oranges or something, but seriously folks...

Because change is the only way to move our industry can move forward, otherwise it just stagnates and we're doing the same thing over and over again, which some can deal with and some can't.madara said:I will never understand why gaming fanatics, mostly journalists and online gamers, have to have "innovative" titles at such alarming rate.
Yup, and when it's the exact same game over and over again, well, who can blame them for liking something different? I honestly don't see doing the same thing over and over again across so many games to be enjoyable, but hey, that's just me.They dog solid games done right but done before.
I'm not going to argue that different gamers seek different things. Some people are happy doing the same thing over and over again, some get tired of it. The industry needs to, and does, cater to all these tastes.Heck I could play zelda OOT, dragon quests, etc all my life and be quite happy. While others would give a toilet sim a ten just because its new. There has to be balance somewhere. We could be playing endless experimental games like Last Mana and Saga series, yic.
madara said:You can control it without any drums or music? Otherwise you may as well call Samba one as well. Hmm I have look into that abit more.

Please make a *new* 2-dimensional platformer, for any system, starring ANYONE.

I'm pretty sure that the drums are needed for Jungle Beat. Unfortunately. But that might be half the experience.AniHawk said:Drums are not required to play the game- you have the option to use the controller or the drums (I think). It's not like Donkey Konga where there's music or anything either.
An interesting side note is by doing really well in the game and establishing a rhythm (see the combo meter?), the in-game music begins to reflect that. Thus, having skill not only looks neat, but it sounds cool too.AniHawk said:Drums are not required to play the game- you have the option to use the controller or the drums (I think). You bring up a good point here, that being Jungle Beat won't require the drums else it would be bundled with them. Rather, it's a situation like Samba de Amigo - the game is best enjoyed with maracas, but can be played with a controller.AniHawk said:Well Nintendo should be prepared to bundle the drums with this game as well then. I was under the impression you didn't need them, but it was best with them.
