Nintendos said they got better third party for Switch 2

They already had great third-party support on the Switch. Are any of these new or unexpected companies? (Would have been wild to see Sony on that list lol)

Love seeing FROM on there 😍

Crap I'm at work and only see the words third-parties.large.jpg

Is it something Nintendo officially said?

Edit: Just hopped on my phone and took a look. Where did the screenshot come from? Was this from their investor call a few days ago?

Nothing too surprising there, but it remains to be seen what support they actually get.
Yeah, not too worried a out Switch 2 support, Switch has probably been the most balanced 1st and 3rd party output on a Nintendo console since the Snes/NES days.
But in saying that they always release these kind of "we have loads of support!" infographics at the start of their cycles.

If the rumours of a switch but faster and stronger with up scaling are true and I'm guessing they are from the BC with the switch. Then this should be a monster of a console. But is it enough to sell well ?

I like that Falcom is mentioned. I believe the Trails In Sky Remake will be their first Worldwide release title. If they can make it a launch title it will move a lot of copies.

Cool. Honestly the 3p support on Switch was just fine for what it was and the good Nintendo consoles are always good on the strength of the 1p output.

Yes it was a slide from their investor call.

I'm expecting a step up in support from Ubisoft, From and Capcom. But have low expectations from EA and Bandai Namco.

Sega/Atlus I'm unsure about.

I guess technically Sony should be listed there because of Horizon LEGO Adventures. I wonder why they left them off.

Another interesting stat from the presentation, around 50% of Switch games sold since April 2020 are third party ones.

This only includes games which have physical cart versions. If you include digital only games, then the ratio for third parties will be higher.

From Software's project CL stands for cunts livid, a bloodborne spiritual sequel Switch 2 exclusive.
Most likely just elden ring and sekiro releases.
Nintendo also splays these out every cycle, I'm sure a few remembers the unprecedented partnership with the Wii U.

Well, technically, they said nothing about switch 2 there...

It's just about how they managed to get better support from 3rds for the Switch (1).

I'm curious to see how CoD runs on it, using it as a portable level grinder/Warzone machine will be an interesting twist on top of the already robust library I have on OG Switch. We already know Joycon will likely not have analog triggers, so there's already, IMO an issue there, but I suppose that's what 3rd parties are for, haha.

I will buy it, play it for 2 hours, then carry it around like I will play it ever again before gifting it to a close family member.
Same procedure as last gen, Ms. Sophie? Same procedure as every gen, James.

There always seems to be a push for early generation support for AAA gaming.

Then inevitably many drop out.

This would be cool. I'd love to see some of the current Gen remaster collections. Mass Effect collection in particular. And The From Games.

I'm sure tons of third party devs/publishers are looking forward to porting a lot of their last gen games to the Switch 2.

Ports, ports everywhere.

That's my fear.

You can see it coming a mile away, 3rd parties dump a lot of ports onto the switch 2, nobody buys the game cause most of us will have likely have bought these games on something else and then the 3rd parties complain their games don't sell.

If they are going to go that they need extra content like Nintendo done with some of their Wii U ports, even then its going to be difficult.

Wasn't their a report that like 50% of switch owners also own a PS4/5?
