I think the scene was much more than just that, though. The whole faking orgasms thing is just the surface, and the subtext is much deeper.
I imagine so and I also am not one to say that it's done for just gratuitous purposes. I think the writing is too good for that. I do think it oversells the symbolism (I'm assuming that it has something to do with the politics of the land being no different than what goes in a brothel there, but all the moaning distracts me :lol)

The duplicity (& triplicity if that's a word) is already so incredibly evident that we don't need an obvious metaphor for things are not really as they appear/sound. Heck, Littlefinger is the personification of it. I will say that I like how they transform the one girl from being clueless to apparently running the place in Littlefinger's absence- showing how quickly she adapts to the world outside of the North.

I gave my take on the scene a few posts back. I just think that it was an interesting way of handling back story and character development quickly in a scene that is able to be more than just mere exposition between characters. There is so much being said, and not said (and moaned, lol), and they way it occurs gives the scene so much more oomph than if it had just been two characters talking to each other and reminiscing.

I thought little finger wiping the cum off the girls face was pretty funny. Maybe I just have no class.

Maybe the giant "NO BOOK SPOILERS" in front of the thread title?
Yeah but they spoiler tag most of that stuff anyways, so I didn't really see much of a difference while I was skimming over both threads. *shrugs*

But I guess this is the "safe" thread for people like me. Yet, on the other hand... the other thread pointed me in the direction of Shae porn, so I'm a little conflicted here.

That was just the luck of the draw. We could've told you that here too.

I'm in the middle of 1x07, and I have a few questions I need clearing up:

- So, Ned inferred from the fact that Joffrey's hair color is blonde that a) he is a bastard and b) that the Incest Twins must have defenestrated Bran?

- It's been a while since I watched the pilot. Who killed the Mad King? Jamie? So did Jamie have the throne? I was confused by what Queen Incest said.

Ned began looking into what the last Hand of the King knew. He had that revelation after Sansa reminded him of the book John Arren was looking at said all the baratheons had brown hair. The assassin tipped the hand that the Lannisters knew what happened to Bran and wanted it a secret

Yes Jamie is the Kingslayer

I don't think he inferred the second part, but he did infer the first part.

Jaime killed the Mad King. Then forces led by Ned took the city, and theoretically, Ned could have taken the throne for himself. Instead, he deferred to Robert.

Ned Stark retraced the investigation of the previous Hand of the King, John Arryn, and found that every bastard child of Robert Baratheon had black hair. He also checked Robert's family history and found that all his ancestors had black hair. Joffrey is the only person supposedly in the Baratheon line who doesn't have black hair.

Yes. Jamie was in the Kingsguard, which meant it was his responsibility to keep the "mad king" safe, but he stabbed him in the back during Robert's uprising.

What a wonderful opportunity to use the word "defenestrated." Anyway, yes Ned inferred that Joffrey was not Robert's true, but I can't remember if that helped him reach the conclusion that Jaime and Cersei threw Bran out the window.

Also yes Jaime killed the Mad King. He was a member of his kingsguard, and betrayed him. Jaime didn't have the throne though. He was sitting there when Ned arrived at the Red Keep, and there was an awkward moment, but Jaime made no claim to the crown. I think Robert was the leader of the rebellion, so he ended up getting the throne.

All of this is just fuzzy for me though. :p

I'm pretty sure Jamie has made it clear that he doesn't want the throne.

He did? In the their first scene together in Season 1 Episode 1, Jamie tells Cersei that he doesn't want to be Hand, but I don't recall him ever saying that he didn't want to be king.

In one of the later episodes, Ned is telling the story of how he found Jamie sitting on the throne when he conquered the city.

I ought to just read the damn books to avoid the spoiler bullshit that's bound to pop up from time to time. I had to avoid harry potter anything online for like 8 years. Anyway just saw the second episode.Loved it, the sex stuff doesn't bother me in the slightest but I def wouldn't watch this with my parents.

I'm thinking it was just wishful thinking. Lannisters have always wanted the power but no way to get to it legit. I don't thin Jaimie killed the king for entirely noble purposes though.

I do wonder whether he intentionally had kids with Cercei though or whether they were accidents.

she isnt just doing hardcore porn she is doing the kinky German shit. Damn I wonder if Dinklage knows it would be hard for me to not think about it if I had to kiss her.

When her porn career became public knowledge there was quite an uproar in Germany. She's of Turkish descent too, maybe that's why.

FYI, she was quite ugly during her porn days. She cleans up rather well, but don't expect her to look like Shae at all.

Well yes, while her imdb page does reveal titles such as Hotel Fickmichgut and 2002 wilde Sex-Nächte, she's also got a leading role in the European Film Awards-winning 'Head-On' by Faith Akin to look back on .

Just watched the first ep (had to wait til my girlfriend was here if I wanted to keep my balls) and loved it. So much shit is going to hit the fan this ep.

Only one small shot of Arya though :( She's by far my favourite character, so that was disappointing. Clearly she's going to get a bit of action with the lad she's with being hunted down, though.

Edit: Ep 2 has leaked? HNGG. Do I watch now and have an extra wait or resist? Hmm. Nope, can't resist!

I researched this, for science, of course.

She has quite a large -- ehm -- collection of works. I was quite surprised, I was expecting some grainy footage from a VHS from the 90s or something, but what I saw was unprecedented. There's even a
45 minute montage clip of "happy endings"
shall we say. Ok, I'll stop now lest I get banned.

I'm just rewatching series 1 again now, and I've only just realised that you're shown that Daenery's is a dragon straight from the first episode when she walks into the boiling bath, and again with the egg on the fire, and of course when Vicsery's dies she says fire cannot kill a true dragon. Just something I missed the first time around.

Just wanted to say I'm so glad this show is back. Really enjoyed episode 1. I just hate Joffrey so much. I'd love to see him, Carl Grimes and Walter White Jr. driven off a cliff in Junior's PT Cruiser.
