Well I think the game is broken for me.

I crashed into a floating copper rock in mid air, got stuck inside, died from collision damage over time, and now my ship is stuck on top of the copper out of reach of my jet pack or mining laser.

I can't find any way to recover it or continue playing the game.

Look for an installation with a landing pad or a landing beacon (little red post looking thing on the ground). Use a Bypass Chip to summon your ship to you.

Is anyone else finding it really hard to tag all the species on a planet for the zoology milestone? I regularly get to 1 or 2 species left and cannot find them, and when I finally did the milestone never even popped! Also, tagging some of those birds that change direction a lot FUCKING SUCKS SEAN MURRAY.

You have to check caves and underwater sometimes.

Wow, never that bad. I've been bumped up to the upper atmosphere, but only when I launch from a weird landing spot (like after I landed on top of a tree).

lol, I've luckily never landed on any weird spots like that. I saw someone on twitch land on like a beacon and they couldn't get back in their ship, haha

yup it happens im pretty sure the cause is when you land and some of your ship chips in the ground.... ive stopped it though just hold down the left stick sometimes works

same-type upgrades touching each other on the grid add a multiplier.

Yep, the system I am in has a +5.7 when you sell, for every gold piece. So only took a few hours why I explored at the same time.

I'm ok if it's a bug but it's happening with most objects in the game now on two different systems with two new save games (only mention this to stress it's not hardware). I'm just trying to find out how common this is and if there is a solution.

I can sometimes get the model to fix itself by getting really close to it as shown above.

Been playing for a bit yesterday, got caught with the Preorder DLC glitch and started a new game today.

I'm having trouble getting money to upgrade my ship now. I have bought a ton of upgrade packs for my character but now I have so many it costs 100k+ for them. I think it's time to focus on my ship which has gotten pushed to the sidelines.

Is it possible to get a free upgraded ship from aliens or get cheaper prices from understanding the language?

I've been frantically looking for another planet with mountains full of gold but haven't found anything in the last 8 galaxies I explored. :/

You following icons? My antimatter and all that jazz came from a "signal detected" thing. It then tells you to go to space station etc. Are you following the prompts in bottom right?

Yeah nothing comes up even when I go into space and scan and anti matter wasn't for sale anywhere. The only prompt I was getting was to open the galactic map and warp.

I restarted and my planets are way worse. First one was freezing second one is radioactive. Oh well.
Man I got really luck on my first save. They first alien I talked to gave me a free multi tool and I found 3 suit inventory upgrades really quickly.

Even if that's the case they need to up the rarity. It's an awful balance if it's in since the amount of regular content is slim alone. There appears to only be one type of space anomaly, one type of distress signal etc. There should be more variation in the standard content if events like these are in but extremely rare to the point of maybe one in a hundred, if they're in at all.

Played a few hours last night but already find myself just skipping planets and entire systems. Basically a full time merchant at this point. Not getting any real joy out of exploring the planets, feels repetitive already.

If you find the signal scanner things, whatever they're called, that you need a bypass chip for, they can often point you toward one.

With the scanners, they're just guiding you to the points right? Not actually causing the game to generate them?

You could look for a crashed ship, it will need to be repaired but won't cost nearly as much as buying one.

So I bought a ship but forgot to transfer my inventory. I reloaded my current save to undo my F up only to find I now have the new ship with my old ship's inventory and all my monies back...

I also noticed you can reload after dying in space and sometimes your grave will still be there, allowing you to effectively dupe your ship inventory.

Sorry if this is already common knowledge.

It's a waypoint in the HUD when you're flying around - like a hexagon icon that's red or orange guiding you somewhere. If you follow those you'll get the antimatter recipe. You can't buy it, afaik.

You might need to buy the Antimatter.

The game has you buy Antimatter to make into a cell, and then it teaches you the antimatter recipe.

Also, my main guns on my spaceship stay at 0%. I can still fire them but it keeps saying something about charging them with isotopes (yellow resources). Thing is, I can't charge them in my inventory. I can charge my mining lasers on my ship, but not my main guns.

Yeah the suit seems practically endless. I'd not even bother with ships given the cost. For a 25 slot ship you could have 30+ suit upgrades easily. By the way has anyone figured why I should be doing this Atlas stuff? It keeps asking me for milestones that I've apparently achieved but I don't know how or why I'm supposed to do this. All I know is it's a REALLY slow way to play. I was hoping this was how you upgrade warp drives but I guess not.

Start scanning the planets in your system with L3 to see if you find an incoming signal. Depending on the distance you might need to jump closer to some of them to scan.

The Atlas path is part of the game's narrative. If you don't care about that, I guess you can ignore it.
