25. Now, you wouldn't think that's old but when I went to buy a bus ticket it said that I no longer qualify for the "young people and students" ticket prices since I'm older than 24. So there's that I guess.

black holes cut off a thousand or so out of the 170k, from the ones Ive hit (last 2 at least), and my warp drive is sigma atm. Anyone seen better?

Has anyone managed to find their way back to their starting system? It would really suck if you somehow can't.
I warped one system over and then went back to my starting one. If you've warped several systems away you should be able to connect the dots through the options menu of systems you've visited.

Dang it seems like a gltich. It has happened to me too. My cannons are at 0% but still fire. And I can't put any resources into it. Strange. It looks like it stays with you until you get a new ship too which sucks. Hopefully it's patched super soon.

Weird, but one thing:
Calling MP a "key component" when it's also "infinitely unlikely" is one hell of a stretch.
I didn't follow this game at all before release, so maybe there is more to that thanI'm aware of, but from the snippets I picked up through screenshots and osmosis the game is pretty much as I expected it to be.

I think it's very frustrating that placing similar tool/suit/ship upgrades next to each other increases their effectiveness, but you can't just pick up and move things around in the menus. Either get it right first time or dismantle everything and try again, and god forbid you get another upgrade which means you'll have to do it all over again. Seems needlessly complicated.

I wanna piggyback on this and ask what happens to your old ship when you buy a new one? I assume if you find a new one on a planet you obviously leave behind your old one but if you buy a new one does your old one stay chillin in the space port?
If you use your jetpack when pressed hard against a wall, it has infinate fuel and will carry you out of the deepest caves

Small birds can be a pain, you just have to get closer. If they're simply too high I think you'll have to follow them until there is something to stand on. Or try shooting them and scanning the body? No idea if that works.

My first planet is basically tentacle world, Full of Purple tentacle bushes that look like something out of day of the tentacle and I found a Tentacruel pokemon!

My impressions of this game are still quite high, and I'm finding it like basically the perfect zen game for me. Even on desolate planets I don't really find myself getting bored at all.

Yep, upgrades will have a coloured border around them when placed adjacently to a similar box. So 'Faster Mining Thing' next to the box for your mining tool = 'Even Faster Mining Thing'

I seriously don't know why I even bother upgrading my multi-tool anymore. In the span of four hours I went from a 12 to a 14 to a 16 to a 18 multi-tool.

Haven't used it yet, but I do have an upgrade that allows underwater breathing.
Also, haven't done it myself, but folks say shoot the bird down and scan it's cold dead body. I'm guessing you need an upgraded weapon - )i also have an upgrade I haven't used that shoots in a cone shape).

What do you mean? Why would finding bigger multitools stop you from upgrading?

I mean that I'm wasting resources that are hard for me to find. I already unlocked the level 3-5 upgrades (3-4 for the mining, couple of 5s for the blaster), and every single time I need to redo everything.
I threw away stuff that I could've used for my exosuit and/or ship on something that didn't even last an hour.

You don't transfer your upgrades to the new tool? Hold down triangle when you're comparing them to switch it over to the bigger one.
Or have I misunderstood the issue?
Jetpacks are broken for me. If you press yourself against a rock etc that is straight going up and use your jetpack it never runs out.

You can't transfer upgrades afaik. The new tool usually comes with better upgrades and more slots, if not there's no point in upgrading.
My problem is actually a story thing. The prompt on the bottom right corner stays the same even though I built the upgrade for the jetpack.

The upgrade nodes in your exosuit, ship and multitool? Don't get attached to most of them. If you need a particular resource or need space, delete away. In most cases you'll still have the schematic.
Just make sure it's nothing you need immediately and that you have the schematic to rebuild it when you need it.

Sucks to hear. I wonder that even if I can shoot my cannon is nerfed or something. Luckily I've not been attacked by space pirates yet....

That's by design, so you don't get stuck. It even says it in the game, that's how you 'climb'.
I didn't know you could put upgrades next to eachother for a boost. Does the game ever tell you this? Is there a way to move an upgrade once it's built? Equally, when you get a new multi-tool is there a way to transfer your tech over to it or do I have to rebuild everything?
