I think I'm stuck and will have to restart. I found a crashed ship and decided to take it, but the thing is, I need Heridium to repair the thrusters. The problem is after searching this extremely toxic plant for hours I can't find a Heridium rock anywhere. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I boned?

I had to find a trade outpost and just buy Heridium from people who dropped by.

May have been asked before, but is the day/night cycle planet-dependant?

For my first couple of planets it felt like nights came and went and I could actually see the stars dip below the mountains in the distance.

Anyone know?

Are you sure you have this glitch? I've seen so many mixed messages on it.

I redeemed the ship almost instantly. I came across the blueprints for hyperdrive, antimatter and the warp cell just by exploring, and the game was ready to give me directions to find them after my first and second warps (the objectives came up, then went away, I assume after some checks realized I didn't need the help).

I haven't left my first system yet, so I dunno... But I don't have the plans.

I had a similar experience. My backpack having more storage than my space ship is silly, lol.

L2. I think it's called Analysis Visor. I want to say it was included in the default multi-tool you started with, but it's easy to craft, too.

Well duh me, thanks :)

I tried L2 at the start but never touched it again, I guess I wasn't looking at anything at the time. So this goes towards my 100% on a planet, and that gives me cash, right? (when uploading the data scanned)

I haven't seen or heard from Atlas since the first minute of the game, did I miss something or will he pop up again eventually? (Just about to make my second FTL jump).

I'm liking the game. It's a bit empty, kind of an open world game without the game, but I'm enjoying the casual exploration and personally focussing on learning alien languages.

Only complaint is the fov. I'm not usually one to complain about graphical settings but fuck me this is horrible, especially when you're in a building. I'm baffled by this decision.

You have to find the different species for 100%. Scanning more animals*/rocks/plants also earns you credits but doesn't matter for 100%

*(I think you can scan different genders/ages of the same species)

Don't forget to press options and "Upload" your discoveries. I have no idea why this step is necessary or what it does - anyone else know?

What are you supposed to do if you get lost/stuck in a large cave system and you don't have any grenades? This was close to happening to me early in the game, but luckily I found my way out. But what if you can't? Some caves only have roof holes you can enter and exit through, and it's feasible (I think) that it's too high up for you to jetpack out of. There's no respawn button, no suicide pill, so what do you do? Has anyone gotten truly stuck?

There is a restart previous save on the options menu.

The options menu has a reload current that takes you back ton the last time you got out of your ship or saved at a way point if you're truly stuck.

Dammit, I really want to go back to my starting planet and 100% it. I won't really care about doing that for any other planet, but if I'm gonna do it on one it would feel nice to do it on that one. But I can't find it again. Can't find the system at all. Right after I left it, with my first warp, I looked for it on the galactic map so I could go back later, but I just couldn't find it at all. Sucks.

Ah, I see. Feels a tad cheaty, but I guess they had to do something like that.

On that note, does the game only save when it says it is? If I go out exploring and gathering stuff for an hour without visiting a save point, and then turn the game off, all that progress will be lost?

Damn well then I'm screwed. There isn't a trade outpost anywhere close. And I can't travel that long because of the toxic environment.

Sorry man,I had the exact same problem as you describe it, had to delete my save file and start all over again :/

I looked for a specific thing , it´s called "Zink" in german and searched the planet for a good 30-45 minutes. After that I gave up, didn´t wanna waste my time any longer.

bought a new ship and its photon cannon won't recharge? I'm able to shoot but it still says 0% and a pop up shows up saying "recharge with oxide elements". I go in the menu to recharge and pressing x in the photon canon does nothing. am I stuck with an infinite ammo photon canon? is this a bug?

I'm in the same position D:

I just wanted to clear that objective notification as it had been there for so long. Obviously it's replaced with a new objective, not sure what I was expecting.

Lol, I also searched for that for a looong time. Not a very common element, at least where I've been. Found it in some plants eventually, I think.

Mine seems to randomly be either 100% or 0% but always fires so I don't know. I've never been able to recharge it and when I started I just assumed it had infinite ammo.

Got a new ship. Cannon is at 0% but I still can fire it. Game won't stop telling me to recharge it but I can't. Glitched? :/

Got this ship btw (not my pic)

Sucks if it's glitched, I can't roll back a save.

Yep. :( I wanted to follow the tutorial objectives up to the point of getting the warp drive, but then I was planning on going back and finishing up my starting planet. Seems like it shouldn't be that hard, given that I had only warped one system away, but it was nowhere to be found. I named it and everything (only system and planet I've bothered doing that with), but nope. Not there.

Has anyone managed to find their way back to their starting system? It would really suck if you somehow can't.

Hooooly shit, I just got lost in a cave system for 20+ minutes.

That was claustrophobic and terrifying.

I loved it. I can't believe I found my way out.

Did a bunch of emeril farming and have 32 exosuit slots and a 30 slot ship now. feelsgoodman.gif

Tomorrow I need to spend some time outfitting the ship.

Please tell me this game isn't as long as it sounds

playd like 8hr today and moved...3k?

That's a ridiculous guideline- we're talking hundreds of hours for not that much gain.

Bah, just what i'm trying to do....pointers?

Upgrade your mining beam as much as you can. Also, remember that your ship slots hold twice as much as your exosuit slots, so transfer strategically to take advantage of that.

There are warp drive upgrades and... shortcuts.

Duck into caves/hollows to let your environmental protection recharge.

That has been my plan. Did that for hours. Nothing

Well I'm going to follow in your footsteps and start over. I learned my lesson.

Pro Tip: Never switch to a crashed ship until you scope out the planet to make sure you can get off of it.

My preorder code from Amazon is already used :(
Anyone had this issue? Who do you guys think I should contact? Amazon or Sony?

Parakeetman

No one wants a throne you've been sitting on!
Really hope they fix the crashing issue. Only real problem I have with the game. 2 crashes today. 1 on the planet and one in space..
