Non system disk or disk error *help*

So I just installed Microsoft Framework 1.1(you need to have it for the PSP Media Manager) and it prompted me to reboot my system.

Now, I had Dameon tools running when I shutdown(a program that creates virtual drives) and when the pc is in dos mode and rebooting I get the following message:

'Non system disk or disk error

Replace and strike any key when ready'

What should I do? Im able to load the Bios utility software when abruptly turning of the power on and off but Im not sure what to do. Anyone who can help me?

<runs away from thought of purchasing Sony media player software for PSP>

You say in Dos mode.. are you saying the Win OS won't even load?

My first thought is always to use the win disc to launch recovery console and do a fixboot, fixmbr in these situations, but I need a few more details...

Although I'm sure it might not resolve the problem, try setting your BIOS to make sure that the HD is the only device that will try to boot. No CD, no floppy.

You never know, good luck. :)

The very first screen you see when booting up your ssytem.
It lists primary master, slave..etc. A dos window you know.

And when that message hits, there's absolutely nothing I can do.
I can hit whatever button and the message reappaears.

Isn't that the error you get when there's a floppy in the drive?

Hit F8 during bootup and boot to 'Last Known Good Config'

lol!

Burnout Revenge looks more Next Gen than a lot of 360 games I've seen...

Damn, there is a floppy I inserted yesterday....checking.

:lol

Take the floppy out and adjust your bios so that the HD is the first device your machine tries to boot from.
